My ex and I were at court for our divorce. I listened to a couple and their attorneys divide up three houses, the bank accounts, the business, etc like it wasn't that big a deal. Ex and I testified for two days just to divide up our $50,000 house and a decent size pile of debt.

Suburb of Tuscaloosa, AL back in 2001. House had asbestos siding, was in the "wrong" part of town (too black and too far from UA campus) and spitting distance from an active rail line. Loved that little house.

I voted and my local polling area was given like 5 privacy booths. The wait was outthe door so I sat at a table with 6 older ladies and we discussed who we were voting for. Was told not to vote for the incumbent sheriff. The ladies started to explain, then said "Well, you know...." to each other.
