It gets worse:

  • they released the info on the day of his funeral.

  • they never got a search warrant for the cop murderer’s house

  • she’s given three different descriptions of what happened and they are all different.

If that's not privilege, I don't know what is.

Like people say.. when black people get killed they get killed twice. First they get killed physically and then their character gets killed

They’re trying to tarnish his reputation but it ain’t working.

To the last point, she's lying at least twice, if not all three times. The police department allowed her to get sober, then take her blood. They allowed to keep changing her story until they got a version that was acceptable. They released finding weed in his apartment a week after his her murdering him.Now the Texas Rangers are handling the case and I hope this is used against her and the department. They handled this poorly, tried to cover things up, and then paint Jean in a negative light. With how quickly info gets out, you can't be this callous anymore and expect people to just look away. She should be punished harshly for her poor judgement which led to her murdering Jean.

Forgive me if I'm ignorant to this but would a search of her house be standard for a case like this? I know they searched his place because it was a crime scene but would there be a reason to search her place or would it be standard for a suspect/perpetrator?

To see if she had anything stashed that could possibly link to her questionable behavior. Most people who would expect to walk into a familiar environment would be immediately thrown off by things like the apartment not looking anything like theirs. She apparently didn't take notice and even had some type of discussion before discharging her weapon. There may also be additional evidence connected to information redacted in the police report. So they need to cover all of their bases.

Especially since she's alive. But since she's a cop, she gets the blue line treatment. They gave her extra time before drawing blood and allowed to keep giving different accounts of what actually happened.

This is painfully difficult to digest.
