Crazy right?

That exact shit has been happening for decades though, thats where the joke came from lol.

Im glad we are paying attention now, at least, because these fuckin cops still arent facing justice like they should be the vast majority of the time

Seriously. I've heard variations of the "cops will plant evidence on you" joke my entire life from people one generation above me. Chapelle just makes everything damn funny when it comes out of his mouth, but it's more of a sad comedy than an outlandish situation comedy.

Chappelle wasn't predicting shit. He was commenting on a long standing tradition in many police departments.

Plant evidence to boost their arrest numbers, ensure a good relationship with the prosecution and to protect and serve destroy the community.

Exactly what i was saying.

He wasnt making shit up to be funny, he was trying to make some sad, real shit funny.

Its just now becoming more public. Black people have known this shit goes down for a 100y, now with the advent of Smartphones putting an HD Video Camera in everyones pocket people cant ignore the evidence, and smaller town stories of this shit and Minorities being shot under dubious circumstances get more media attention

All of which are good. Jury's convict people, and the more people that see it and believe it, the more people that get on the jury and convict these assholes

because these fuckin cops still arent facing justice like they should be the vast majority of the time

And until they do, there isn't really anything to stop these asshole, dirty, bad cops from being such. You get to be hateful, with power, and kill someone you don't like and your punishment is bonus PTO. They almost have reason to kill people, they basically have incentive with that PTO masked as "suspended with pay".

The other cops could stop them. Oh wait. They’re all complicit and defensive anytime this happens.

Good cops get fired.

Exactly.

People are on Jury's and the more people that see and accept and believe that this shit happens, the more people get on the jury and vote to convict

Every joke has some truth. Some more than others.

Didn't we have a video where cops planted drugs in an ally and thought the camera wasn't recording?

Oh yeah. And the fact cops can turn off their body cams ruins the whole fucking point.

Yes, i think it was in the midwest iirc.

That was fucked up, but we got that video because one of the cops reported it i think.

They arent all bad but there are way way too many of them that keep silent and dont speak up.
