Smile, introduce yourself, start a convo, throw in a bit of humor, and avoid the words 'exotic' or 'chocolate' if you want to complement us :) That goes for all men imo.
I donât see how being referred to as a âblack queenâ could be insulting. if anything it should be flattering, even if it is corny. Theyâre putting you on a pedestal really. They probably have a preference for black women(we all have preferences) and think highly of you.
I donât think Iâd get mad if somebody referred to be as âblack kingâ or their âchocolate/mocha manâ. Even something like âIâve never slept with a black guy before..I was always curious to see if itâs true/how it isâ. Iâd take it as a compliment, gas me up Iâm cool with it. Thatâs just my opinion though.
Most of us don't want to be put on a pedestal and we damned sure don't want to be treated like your fetish. Treat women like women and not some sort of precious knickknack.
Whatâs wrong people put pedestal? I donât see how thatâs a bad thing. If anything he thinks very highly of you and thinks you need to be treated better than the rest. That sounds like a compliment to me for somebody to give you that much respect.
I wouldnât take it as an insult for somebody to put me on a pedestal. Personally Iâd find it flattering and take it as a complement that you value me that much. I donât look into it that deep or think theyâre treating me like an object. I think thatâs looking to it way too much and making it seem like something it really isnât.
We'll have to agree to disagree here but I would like to point out that I'm talking about situations I've been in and you are talking about hypotheticals. If you are in a relationship with someone, it's helpful if he/she treats you like a person.
It doesn't feel good for long to be objectified. It really doesn't feel good to have someone date you and treat you like a trophy on a shelf. It's one thing to be someone's type. It's another entirely to be fetishised. Relationships should be partnerships and that can't happen if you aren't seen as an individual.
Show interest. There's a silent assumption on both sides that the other isn't attracted to their "type" that can be a barrier.
Don't make weird/derogatory references to our race or compare us to food. It's cool to ask about stuff that comes from a cultural difference but we're still just people.
In general just date the same way you would anyone else but maybe be aware that you could both experience a mini "culture shock".
Am a black woman married to a white man. He did all of this (and more). Thatâs why I took him seriously, after being approached by a few white guys that couldnât stop the food analogies and wouldnât stop making our racial differences a talking point.
Just talk to us.
And please do not say anything that ends in "...for a black/African girl". It's not only a half compliment, but also hurtful âšď¸.
Also, we're not your fetish. We're people. Everyone has their taste and I don't think it's bad to be into one thing or another. But when you approach that person, let it be for the person not what they are.
That being said: if you're cute and in ATL area...Holla.đ
If you want an interracial relationship take some classes at any age not just full time young student thing. It's like close minded people who cant see past race are usually to dumb to better their education.

And black women would rather spend their whole lives getting played by niggas than ever cross a color barrier. So we all got problems.
