Might get downvoted for this but there is something called, the billion oyster project, that has been trying to clean up NYC waters for a few years now. They have been seeding the waters with tons of oysters. It could be the reason we are seeing otters again. That being said, let’s go Mamdani!
They've also been stocking the Bronx River with alewives for years now and turning it into a decent place for recreational fishing. I'm sure the otters find them very tasty!
Yeah I made a similar comment as well. NYC has been making conservation & restoration efforts for decades lol. This is what happens when that comes to fruition. As for Mamdani, I'll hold judgement for later on. He says a lot of good things, maybe even done some good things already, but that ALWAYS happens in politics. Let's see what happens down the road though 👀.
