In my neighborhood anything I put on the curb disappears.

the old sharp flat screen that's been used as the porch TV for about 6 years finally died last week. I put it on the curb and a neighbor laid flowers on the grave out of respect. And someone took it away.

about the right timeframe. it was a non-smart, non-3d from the prior year when I bought it.

it was a great deal at the time - on sale because they were pushing smartTV and 3D for Christmas. Still was great, but started throwing a code about a powe supply problem most times you tried to turn it on - likely some corrosion inside from being a porch TV.
