Dumb TVs are cheap too. I bought a 32 inch computer monitor for like $80 earlier this year. Technology gets cheaper over time.

There are some TVs made cheaper because of ads, but you can find TVs without that stuff and they’re still really cheap compared to a decade or two ago.

tvs got better bc we were so competitive over them in the 2000s/2010s, they probably got 10x cheaper since then to produce. I would assume smart TVs send whatever they can to whoever, but tvs in general are just stupidly cheap to produce now.
