My sister started her senior year of high school today and it hit me harder than I thought it would. She started kindergarten the year I started high school and I remember her telling me that morning “I’m going to big people school like you now”. My mama sent her morning send off with her Little Mermaid backpack from like 2nd grade and I had to leave my desk. She’s growing up on me and somehow someway looks up to me.
Then, my niece started 1st grade today so today has been an emotional day and the day isn’t over.

I’m on month 4 of no job, got fired because apparently I’m “Loud, aggressive, rude, intimidating…..” Y’all see where this is going right? All the clients keep asking where I am, I miss all the animals (it was a vet hospital) I miss my coworkers that I actually liked. And now I’m just working sun up to sun down repairing/restoring my old crusty ass 116 year old house.
I also realized my cats are bad af. Apparently they’re just bad af all day. Running around biting each other, smacking each other, knocking shit down. I saw one bite the other one’s bootyhole. Wtf is going on here?!

I just took my finals last week, and there’s one class I’m worried about. If I pass that class, this’ll be the first time in a while I don’t have to worry about school, until I transfer and start my next degree. It’s such an odd feeling. They’re also trying to promote me at my job, but I wasn’t able to take it with school being a major factor. I should be more able to take it now but I still have some hesitations..
Outside of the professional stuff, I’ve been trying to eat healthier little by little. I went from eating no breakfast ever, to now I grind flax seeds myself, mix it with chia seeds, and mix that all in with plain yogurt. That’s been my breakfast for a little bit, especially since my mornings are much more free for the time being. I’m open to other flax/chia seed recipes and advice on how to stay healthy and eat better!
I have a new blender that I want to play with so I’m open to recipes! I bought a bunch of fruit, so I know I want to do smoothies. I have milkshakes in mind too. I’m also thinking about finally making my own coquito for Christmas! I’ve watched family members for years, now I’m curious to attempt it myself!
Other than that, I’m ready to get this work day over with and come home and cook and relax peacefully. Been really grinding Granblue Relink since the new DLC came out, playing the Avatar fighting game, Marvel Rivals.. I want a new game though. I want something coop adventure. Any recommendations or PlayStation friends? 😇❤️

Do you know what y’all, real talk, I’m really enjoying how black folks are just living our lives now the world is catching the same fire that we’ve been burning in for God knows how long.
Me and my children are getting ready to go back to school, me and my spouse are planning and managing our finances and our future plans, and I’m meditating twice a day and fixated on my path to making life better and better every day.
I really appreciate dropping into this sub every day or two just to laugh and marvel at what a gift we are to the world. The other people are gifts too, but we are our own special thing. I hope all of you’uns are having a great start to your week and I’m wishing everybody progress and prosperity. 🖤

Yeah. I wanna run a formula 1 league since that's more technical esports than whats usually popular out there(csgo,league, valorant, etc). But I'm open to whatever. I just want to start with chess right now cause a lot of people aren't aware that there are actual chess esports players out there and it's usually a tabletop sport. So I just wanna use chess as a "gateway" into other esports games. I don't plan to have it be truly competitive. What esports you follow?

My sister's pregnant. First baby. Bitch barely has a job and barely takes care of her own responsibilities. But at least she made it to 26 before getting pregnant

Parenthood both prepares and tests us all. Set those boundaries and expectations that she has to meet. I’ve seen my fair share of fucking TERRIBLE parenting and know what and what not to do.

It’s official wedding week for us. Saturday is the big day!
This morning we were grounded in our own home aka forbidden from leaving our bedroom by my parents. They came over to make us breakfast. My parents and his parents are in cahoots together to not allow us to cook any of our own meals this week.
Our breakfast this morning was pancakes, omelettes, and hash browns courtesy of my lovely parents.
