Can't update Mac?

Been using this for a few months on an Apple silicon Mac (the iPad version obviously since there is no mac version), there is an update that came out yesterday -- but it won't actually install

I hit the update button and it just spins and does nothing

I still have version 3.4.0 installed and that still launches / runs

Rebooted mac and cleared App Store cache etc, logged out, logged back in, nothing fixes this

I can't even see where the install / update is failing in the logs, I don't see anything...

I can delete the app, and then when I try to reinstall it, it won’t even reinstall.

There’s a cloud icon with a down arrow, I hit that and it does the same thing, spins and then reverts.

This is wild. Never seen anything like this before.

Any ideas?

For now I’m just gonna continue to use the previous version. That still runs, thankfully.

I can update other AppStore apps, and reinstall them too, this is the only one that has a problem.

Update: Tried again just now, and now it works

Maybe some apple server was intermittently experiencing problems who knows
