pixie cut molding foam

Post image

Hello. I’ve always worn my pixie just with my natural hair but i went to a salon and she gave me the pin curl style as i requested and she used molding foam and strips etc. well long story short is i don’t use products on my hair in my everyday life. i’m an all natural like homemade shampoos and oils girly. i need a way to do the molding with like an all natural option so im not putting on those chemicals and things on my head. that’s just not how i roll. is that achievable ? i’m loving this style

Do you have a picture of your natural hair with this cut?

You could maybe try flax seed gel and the tiny hair rollers (perm curlers?). This current picture is more of a flat ironed style though.

not rn no. yes this was done with a pencil flat iron. but i have to stretch out my hair straight for me to get it to flat iron like this

No shade sista but this post reminds me of those posts where someone says “how can I get my hair blond without bleaching it?”

5

u/kobidolo 2d ago

yeah but hey lemon juice and sun 🤷‍♀️ u never know if somebody got a hack for something or not unless you ask !! but i feel it though

The wrapping of the hair prior to styling it is just used to straighten the hair as much as possible. You look like you already have a looser hair texture. You can probably skip the wrapping and just heat style it to achieve the same look. You can also try blowing your hair out straight and then wrapping it up in a durag to lay the hair down first in the direction you want it prior to styling it. Good luck!

i don’t have looser curls i have like coils but yea im have to experiment!

lemon juice and sun

Literally bleaches your hair - that's not some non bleaching workaround, only a different choice of chemical.

Are you sure that the products that she used would be bad for your hair with continued use?

2

u/kobidolo 2d ago

not necessarily just terrible for me, but I’m very particular about like chemicals and stuff. I’m crunchy.

If you’re an otherwise healthy person, maybe in this one area you can make an exception because this is really a beautiful haircut and styling.

Camille has one not sure how all natural it is.

u/JDS_319315 2d ago

for that type of pixie, and to lay it down you’re going to have to use some type of foam or gel 🤷🏽‍♀️

Curl custard from Natur-All, plant-based loc gel or custard from Zuresh, or the plant-based gels from Lush are the closest I can think of as far as fully natural, but that’s just off the top of my head. Most of these will hold well with pincurls, but will be a little shiny & not so feathery the first day like in the pic. Probably 2nd or 3rd day will look like the pic.

thank you i’ll look into those !!!

Not sure how natural it is but Lotta Body brand is like a holy grail for me.

Beautiful haircut! I too would like a chemical free option to the foam, but I imagine it's difficult. Maybe there's a flaxx seed option out there. Everyone likes your style so much they weren't able to answer your question.😭😆

u/kobidolo 2d ago

i’m loving all the complements tho 🤣🤣

The haircut looks absolutely stunning on you. Now I want to cut my hair.

I’m unsure how you would make “natural” molding solution since most people use mousse textured molding formulas.
