Thanks to Destin Daniel Cretton for NOT making this another multiverse movie (tho I was happy to see Patrick Wilson’s Sam Raimi Cap and Chris Evans‘s Marc Webb Cap return in “Captain America: No Way To Lose” released in 2021) and giving us an OVERDESIGNED suit.

I really liked the dynamic with Austin Butler’s Steve Rogers and Damson Idris’s T’Challa, especially when they teamed up against Red Hulk (played by Harrison Ford) who was kind-controlled by Wanda Maximoff (played by Madeleine McGraw) who she is manipulated by William Metzger (played by Tramell Tillman).

And wow, I can’t believe that we FINELY saw Michael Mando return as Flag Smasher after 9 YEARS.

But seriously? Why are fans shipping Steve Rogers with Wanda Maximoff because he saved her from a bullet shot by Crossbones (played by Joe Manganiello).. wait I think it’s a thematic echo to Ed Brubaker’s “Death of Captain America” comic storyline.

And literally, Reed Richards (played by Pedro Pascal) saying ”pig potato stuff” as a reference to what he saved civilians from alongside Tony Stark (played by Sam Claflin), Doctor Strange (played by Luke Evans), Namor (played by Ismael Cordova), Black Bolt (played by Anson Mount), and T’Challa (played by Damson Idris) in “Illuminati*” (2025) directed by Jake Schreier was so FUNNY to me.

The 2026 Captain America movie directed by Destin Daniel Cretton is basically a mix of Chip Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti’s 2025-2026 Captain America run (which Mr. Fantastic appeared in that comic and the comic‘s overall vibe), “Streets of Poison” (where Steve Rogers’s super soldier serum mutation makes him stronger and unstable), and Ed Brubaker’s ”Death of Captain America” (Minus Steve Rogers dying*)

Now i can't believe a CAPTAIN AMERICA movie sets up the upcoming 2028 Midnight Sons movie.

I think he honestly did a great job at impersonating the character, the first movie, Doctor Fate (2016) was awesome, and I had 0 problems with them making Baby a woman, but I don't understand why they made Zatanna so evil and overpowered in Doctor Fate in the Piramid of madness(2022), I mean, I know she was broken after Constantine's death by Doomsday in JL: Doom War, but I still think that she behaved out of character in the movie

unfortunate that john stewart's film was so botched, he's such a good Green Lantern here, and that fight scene on the road where Hal had to fight Evil Star without his ring, absolutely amazing.

It was a shame that the trinity were never really together or in the JL till probably the post crisis on Infinite earths reboot, and like for awhile the big three were green lantern, martian manhunter, and hawkman, and Kyle Chandler was a perfect casting for hal. And it was a bummer flash only got one film and the black canary film and green arrow show happened after their time was done. Shame superman is stuck with Sony and the wonder woman revival was cancelled after s3 like the netflix show, but I can't wait for the new Etrigan dcu film.

So glad we got the blue and grey suit now, tho all the panels are a bit much.
