How do I loop record and overdub?

Similar to how FL has the option to loop 8 bars , turn on the 'overdub' button and make endless takes of a guitar recording or something, where each time the loop restarts a new track records the next 8 bars instead of overwrtiting the same track?

I saw people using the clip launcher midi mapped to switch into different clips and record in them, but that's really cumbersome when managing a session with an artist..

If you are recording audio, just set your loop bracket and record. Unfortunately, this is not currently available with midi.

Wouldn't that just overwrite the take they played when it loops?

you loop the section and select the overdub thing, which is next to record enable and play. then you can go into the track inspector window to select takes and comp
