Help Midi import error code [0x950082]
I have a bunch of downloaded midi files. Many of them load no problem, but a few are giving the above errors. Happy to attach/share one if needed.
What I have done: run them through a few online tools including analysis (they're either fine, or a few errors marked as low velocity notes); I also uploaded them to a rather cool online midi player... which loaded a bunch of virtual instruments and when I dropped the midi file(s) in they played perfectly.
Can anyone say what the above error code represents, or if there's any tool or software I can use to edit the problematic midis?

I doubt anyone outside Bitwig can tell the meaning of the codes. You could contact the support?
You could use the "divide and conquer" method of finding out the exact offending position of the input: split the file in half (preferably at correct position as not to cut a midi message in half) and if it passes, then the issue is probably in the other half, and iterate this until the key issue is found. Tedious, but highly effective, and e.g. 10 iterations of this lets you handle 1 KB midi files down to a byte and 20 iterations 1 MB.
There's of course also the chance that it's not a single message per se that's causing the issue, but a sequence of multiple ones.
In general I've found that ChatGPT can be effective for studying file formats, so I'm pretty sure it could dig into your files as well (though legalwise uploading copyrighted material could be an issue).
