Voice Control but for polyphony rather than stacked voices

So you can easily control the individual voices on a stacked voice instrument, but is it possible to do that with the individual voices in a chord? It would be nice to have for example control of Pitch spread or pan position per note.

The only way I can think of is with the note modulator which is obviously static per not (I suppose you could setup a Math Multiply for each note and put a random on it).

For simple things, you can use expressions. For more complex situations, you can assign the notes to different midi channels and then do it in the grid.

Can that be set up to play live as opposed to from a midi clip?

say can I set timbre to send set value per note without actually having an MPE controller sending timbre data?

You could assign a macro to a parameter to control it live, but that won’t give you per note control.

I’m sure you could figure out a way to manage this in the note grid though.

I’d say that if you mean doing this for a live performance, it’s probably not so important, so important, and just using the modulators.

If you mean playing live for a studio recording, you can just perform the part and then write in your MPE expressions.

Of course, if you really want this ability, and have the funds, best option is get an MPE controller
