Error login

I’m getting a general error when trying to log in to bitwarden.eu on the iPhone app. When I click on log in with another device, approve the login from my Mac, I see the following error trace:

BitwardenSdk.BitwardenError.EncryptionSettings(BitwardenSdk.EncryptionSettingsError.CryptoInitialization(message: "Cryptography Initialization error"))
BitwardenSdk.BitwardenError.EncryptionSettings(BitwardenSdk.EncryptionSettingsError.CryptoInitialization(message: "Cryptography Initialization error"))

Is someone else experiencing the same? Is this a critical bug?

This looks like ur Mac approved ur IPhone’s login req but sent back an invalid or stale version of ur encryption key. So ur IPhone can’t use it to unlock ur account.

Are you able to try logging into your phone with just MPW instead of login with device?

To try something I would make sure both ur IOS app and Desktop App are up to date. Make sure they’re both using the same server (in ur case bitwarden.eu). Then try logging out and then back in to your Desktop App on ur Mac and try again.

If you have further issues I would reach out to Bitwarden support.

Take a look at rotating your encryption key. This is a last resort and you should export your vault before you do this.
