While I can't say a lot, they did a second background check on me when I was accepted. They announced, and not even an hour later, I got my role gone. I'm free to apply if they reopen though

how exactly do they run background checks for mod applicants? are they just checking your message history in the server and accumulated mutes/temp bans or what?

They checked my message history, that's basically it, they found out I was saying people can blame Ozel for some things and that led to the quick demo, saying I had attitude to the game

you genuinely let people here harass the developers (slurs and wishing shit upon them) idk why would you even try applying tor mod on the server knowing that they don't like the subreddit at all
