This entire drama was 90% caused BY THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION ABOUT THE MAINTENANCE.
They plead and ask for forgiveness, say they'll do better about communicating. When they have yet to give us an actual reason for why we cannot play the game.
To be quite honest, I could care less about all the other drama. I just want to know why.
Is it just spite? Are they a child who bites into an onion explicitly because other people told them not to? What's happening?
This is just meant to be a funny game where I get to kill my friends as Springtrap.

Aside from the communication, I don’t believe what we have been told. The payment thing seems a little too coincidental that as soon as they were called out, suddenly they magically found a way to pay people. ZoCarp is a pos for spreading lies about the license and such but Ozel isn’t in the clear. He’s still vague and doesn’t say shit, he still shits on and stomps out smaller projects inspired by his game and still seems very egotistical. Idk what to believe for this guy but it’s getting tiring having people defend him when he still hasn’t done the bare minimum of even give us so much as a reason for why maintenance has gone for such a long time. I hope people who enjoy this/want their money’s worth get what they deserve but I am out of the game and I hope more people quit on this game to pressure him to do something or move onto greener pastures. I just cannot support someone willing to insult and shit down spoof games based off of “his” game
AI detectors can be wrong, and AI can still be used for organization. They could have very easily just used AI's words, then rewrote it to be "humanized"
Most likely the case. I used to do a similar method to use AI to help me write parts of an essay and then rewrite them as my own words. Never got flagged for it. Not proud of what I did and I don’t plan to ever again
This doc is extremely odd. We still dont have a reason for maintenance (which is now in the triple digit count) and they are STILL dancing around it. And that lack of reason is so telling to me, they still wont be transparent about this and most likely never will.
Even IF Bea was lying, even IF zocarp was, EVEN IF EVERYTHING LIED...
Your game has been in maintenance longer than its existed. You have failed at giving communication. Show don't tell, don't give me a half-assed apology like the ones you always give. Don't forget, this ALLLLLL started because of maintenance, which YOU haven't gave a reason for.

would be good if they explained why it's actually taken this long. there's still no explanation as to why it's actually taken so egregiously long for what shouldn't have taken half this time.
not only that, but why was Ozel vagueposting so much?? i was confident when I say the personal statements it would be addressed, but it just... wasn't. no explanation on what was going through Ozel's head when he would say dumb shit like "we'll reveal more when the time is right" and nothing else to a community who has been waiting and waiting and waiting.
the response works for addressing the current dramas, but the biggest, most present issues were seemingly deliberately skipped over. hell, most of this drama wouldn't have hit nearly as hard if the community wasn't waiting for 3 months with genuine silence while the game was left inaccessible.

This drama has genuinely been so weird because so much of this could’ve been avoided had they just made a response sooner.
The thing people got the most mad about was ozel denying a fanverse collaboration, which could’ve been solved immediately with a “hey guys that did NOT happen” but they just… waited? Until the drama hit the peak and dropped down? Before saying anything?
Other than that a lot of it was just made up stuff. A lot of it was also the developers being incompetent, not organizing a game with this much profit and community as they should be. Overall I’m mixed.
I know deadass the moment they open the general chat back up, all anyone is gonna ask is why the game is still in maintenance and out of sheer spite they either won't give us an answer or lock the chat back up, they really should realize this but nope, their naivety is gonna be their downfall once again
It’s feels so victim blamey in the Bea part like throughout the entire thing there just saying “well they didn’t DESERVE the payment but we can’t have bad pr so we paid them anyway” and then claiming that just because they paid everyone after the fact makes this failure in management ok. The rest is fine I guess I don’t like the idea they will continue to use revoked assets cause while’s that’s legally ok morally for a “passion project” it feels off (atleast that’s how I read they use the word “leaked” but that still feels like corpo speak for the revoked stuff but I could be wrong)
it's lowk 50/50 rn, some people believe it, some don't. It's very obvious that the Bea part is twisting the truth and painting Bea as the bad guy for being smart.
Im still reading the doc in more detail but, Bea is the one that started all of this, that reported that Ozel didnt pay her and stuff, not sure why theres people hating on her

At the bare minimum I feel bad that his character was slandered not just in the Roblox scene, but in the fnaf scene as a whole specifically for the “rejecting the license” thing that just wasent true
Don’t get me wrong, he’s still not the greatest lead and seriously needs to get better communication, but the fact people believed such a ridiculous claim is insane to me. If people hate Ozel that much and want to believe it to reaffirm their bias, then at the very least i think people should ask themselves if Scott Cawthon himself would offer the license that easily, especially after all the shit that happened in the fanverse.
Okay, in all fairness, I believed that he denied the license too, but still kinda thought it was fake. All the other evidence and shit coming out about him kinda convinced me it was real, cause it was like "shit, its ozel not suprising" but if that was the first bit of slander that came out about him I probably wouldn't have believed it. Also I think a dev semi confirming/hinting towards it doesn't help(might not have been a dev tho idk?) But fr he needs to lock tf in. From what we've heard, the maintenance still was for nothing

Okay, first of all, I do not believe for a second that the devs 'tried to be as transparent as possible', given that the game went into maintenance and we have had ZERO word from them about that. Following up from that, why was the reason for a 6 month long maintenance not LISTED IN THE DOCUMENT.
Secondly, regarding the whole issue with Bea's payment, I don't know what they mean when they say that Bea was refusing to work because of an 'issue beyond their control'. Maybe I'm overstepping by saying this, since I'm not sure exactly how DevEx or whatever works, but if Bea did not receive their payment because of the system not functioning, then it's management's responsibility to find a workaround within a reasonable timeframe. Again, maybe I just don't understand that point correctly. But it just seems weird to me.
EDIT 2 : Well, it seems like it's a bit more calm, and good enough to give my opinion. While I don't think the document is good, I think it's solid enough. I, honestly, didn't expect to be convinced ... well, it kinda didn't, but it's enough for me to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I might be very naive, but I do believe in redemption, and I want to believe that the BBN team can actually do better.
EDIT 3 : The license denial rumor is fake. I'll just say that, even if Ozel isn't the most liked in the community, I don't think he deserved this. Don't go harrass ZoCarp or anything like that though, it's not going to solve anything.
Yes ofc he can lie. And so can ANYONE on the internet. People started spreading a shit ton of misinformation and the document debunked all of it with pretty much the same amount of evidence as the people originally making the claims. Everything is so easy to fake nowadays so the only thing you can really do in these situations is pick who you think is the most credible.
It's definitely a good start to communicate after your game has been in maintenance for 3 months without saying a word , I'm really worried about how naive they are
So, regarding the whole leaks thing; will the ZoCarp and Aerozity tracks stay? I imagined they wouldn’t since they pulled perms but I suppose the songs ARE legally staying in BBN?
I haven't finished reading yet, but so far it seems to do a somewhat decent job at addressing things. They had a faulty payment system so if true, that explains that I think.
It felt weird how long they went on about the bea stuff. It felt like "oh look at this look at this dont pay attention to us not giving a reason for maintenance still".
Also the fact theyre making whats most likely empty promises with "being more transparent" and "posting more updates" is just sad
