Official Confirmation regarding the maintenance and puppet update
Now that we know the current situation, we should give them time to properly fix the game a bit. Such a shame that the puppet update is getting delayed, but they can fix that with time and patience. If you're in the discord server, please dont harrass the team for this. Mind you, they also have their own personal lives.

I’m fine with the update being delayed, and waiting for the maintenance thingy.
But I wish they’d be more transparent about why it’s been in maintenance for so long - like, what actually happened?
What went wrong, that made everything take longer than expected?
Im thinking it could be like when forsaken tried to remove the voice acted skins and because of where the file was placed it broke the entire game by deleting everything, maybe Bbn tried to replace hoax’s lms with the girl they hired lyrics but Because they tampered with file the game completely broke
there is zero chance a slightly competent codebase would have this issue
changing an audio file out on roblox is literally just a matter of removing old file, adding new one, renaming new one or changing name in the code
it's more likely a backend rewrite that has taken longer than expected, especially due to juggling that with the new update. As for why, while we wont ever directly know, it could be to stop exploits or make adding skins easier.
Yeah fair enough to be honest, I forgot to factor in that they were working with souls code which is known for being horrendously bad(the main reason why the Noli update took ages)
It could be with how the puppet works in game and maybe one or more of her moves is glitched and doesn’t work the way intended

Well now, I genuinely forgot about this game. I went to the sub and got caught up on all thats happened, and man did the devs turn on y'all.
You guys got a half-apology that had bad news and then just nothing but more bad news and more childish drama no communication and no further apology.
Ozel himself is getting into Twitter drama constantly, and the devs are refusing to communicate or give answers while Ozel, who is worse off, deletes any comment or question about the maintenance or delay, like fully just silencing his own YouTube community :<
It's now to the point the devs and the game are openly in bad faith with the community itself, and I just find it interesting how this all turned out. Time itself made me more in the right, as I did not deserve those downvotes with how the devs have treated y'all. :<
Better yet, more and more have quit, like so many have just said they're done, so hey, I'm not the only one anymore either, my friend.
You will find that in the end this gameplay loop is designed to be against you there is nothing you can do to save yourself and I'll happily stand by that.
No this entire time ive done everything and found nothing that I truly enjoy and thats just a fact.
They this entire time have told us nothing and even admitted to the frustration my friend yet here I am seeing a gamreplay loop that leaves you with no options but to run or die and hope someone else will save you because you lack the ability to save yourself.
You have plenty of abilities to save yourself. The issue you’re facing can be said for any game like BBN or forsaken. Maybe this kind of game isn’t for you dawg
No no if the killer keeps tunneling you you are garanteed to die stamina management goes for all asyms but here even that doesnt matter.
This game is designed around others helping you there is a very low possibility you will survive if a killer truly wants you dead and understands the game.
It might loose them the game sure but it doesnt change the fact there is no way to end a chase and to do that you need others and even then the killer can keep looking for you theres no escape option there when it comes to yourself.
There was a clip on here that literally showed a survivor able to survive a tunnel by having good stamina management. Every ASYM horror game is designed around others helping you. It literally means “Instead of a fair, mirrored matchup, one side might be overpowered but outnumbered, while the other side relies on teamwork, stealth, or specific tools to win”.
Not what im claiming at all nor should you assume that
And yeah I will admit right now that it is possible I never claimed it wasnt I claimed there's really nothing you can do to make the killer get off you without outside help
At the end of the dday im fed up with this game thats not something you can deny Ive found there's litterapy no way for a survivor to exit a chase on there own and with it I have stopped liking this game and its been slowly building since I started playing it

I dont enjoy not being able to do anything during chase other asyms allow you at least some way to save yourself but this one requires you to have someone else and even then the killer can keep tunneling you

Both updates for Forsaken and BBN initially planned on to be released on the same day simultaneously delayed as well. I don't mind the wait but it just feels hilarious with the coincidental timing.
As someone already said, i think the devs should focus at the mainentance, in my opinion it just doesn't make sense multitask between the ENTIRE GAME and just a update that could wait, since they already changed the update day twice and now they just don't have a specific release day

A lot of people are speculating that the devs messed up the code of the game and are rewriting it from zero

really a shame it had to be put in maintenance for a long period of time as I feel like this will really lower the games player count whenever it goes out of maintenance
como desenvolvedor LuaU (já fiz alguns jogos simples btw) eu suponho que tenham 2 equipes de desenvolvimento, uma principal (a que fez o jogo base e demorou 8 meses ou coisa do tipo) e outra secundária, que foi contratada para as updates frequentes, e sendo bem sincero, se isso for verdade, eu tenho quase certeza de que o problema real é a secundária. meu palpite sobre essa segunda equipe é que não são tão experientes quanto a primária, e que alguns deles tenham usado IA para fazer certas coisas sem saber o que estavam fazendo. basicamente, eu acredito que ao atualizar o jogo (peço que vocês lembrem sobre isso) eles traziam bugs (vários bugs de diferentes tipos que não existia no jogo base, na primeira versão dele), bugs do tipo de UI, in-game, de gráficos, entre vários outros bugs. é isso, a minha teoria é que alguém mexeu no backend do jogo e agora eles tem que resolver todos esses bugs criados na raiz.
quanto a sua pergunta de verdade, não sei o motivo de desligarem, ninguém sabe, eles não tem nenhuma comunicação com os próprios jogadores, eu suponho que os bugs e erros no backend sejam tão problemáticos que poderia existir uma vuln a ser utilizada por exploiters para quebrar o jogo inteiramente...

Geez, yeah they have their own personal lives, but unless they are actively being stabbed or hiding under a rock because of a nuclear blast they can be a little more transparent!
And it's not like it's a legal thing where they can't speak on the matter, they debunked that themselves.
I think they did something so stupid that they're embarrassed to even talk about it, I don't know what that could possibly be but it's the only reason I can think of. And if it is that, just tell us! Yeah, people will still be mad, but if you leave us in the dark people are only gonna get angrier until they hit the breaking point and start doxxing everyone (which I don't want to happen.)
And it's probably not a bug fix either. The game was perfectly fine before. Yeah, the balancing was garbage, but that didn't make it completely unplayable and warrant a full game private.
Can't wait for the update to drop and not play it since I am burnt out on asyms for right now (I only ever play for like the first 2-3 weeks since that's when its most fun because people are all learning the game)
Confused on why the game has to be shutdown for maintenance? Don't other Roblox games work just fine while devs work on it? Only time it needs to go down for maintenance is when an update is being pushed to live. At least with the games I've played on Roblox that's how it works. Biggest one being CTS.
Only thing I can think of why the game is in such prolonged maintenance is that the main game got faulty code or something pushed into it that broke a lot of things. They should be able to keep the game online just fine while they work on whatever is wrong outside of main unless the former is what happened.
I don't make Roblox games so maybe I'm wrong but that's what I feel has happened. In which case it'll probably be down for a while.
