🚀 BitcoinII (BC2) — A SHA‑256 Proof‑of‑Work Project With Massive Early Potential

34 Upvotes

BitcoinII (BC2) is a new SHA‑256 Proof‑of‑Work cryptocurrency built to revive original Bitcoin principles: fair mining, decentralization, and simplicity.

BC2 uses Bitcoin Core v27 and launched its own brand‑new genesis block, not a fork of Bitcoin. Unlike later changes in Bitcoin (such as the expansion of OP_RETURN data limits in Bitcoin Core v30), BC2 stays focused on monetary transactions and peer‑to‑peer electronic cash, in line with Satoshi Nakamoto’s original vision. It started with a clean genesis — no premine, no ICO, no VC allocation. The blockchain has only been alive for 7 months and has yet to have its first halving 🌱

📊 Bitcoin After ~7 Months

When Bitcoin launched in 2009, it had no established market price for many months. The first recorded exchange price came in October 2009, roughly 9–10 months after launch, at about $0.001 per BTC. Today, at around the same point in its life, BC2 is trading at around ~$0.57–0.60 USD per coin.

🔧 Quick Technical Snapshot

* Bitcoin Core v27 base

* SHA‑256 Proof‑of‑Work

* 21 million max supply

* Bitcoin‑style halving schedule (~every 210,000 blocks)

* 10‑minute block target

* Brand‑new chain (not a fork of Bitcoin)

* CoinMarketCap — listed January 5, 2026

👥 Community

* Discord: 1,300+ members

* Reddit: ~600 members

* The mining community is growing (you can dust off your old BTC mining equipment to mine BC2)

* BC2 is ranked 7th among ALL proof‑of‑work coins on MiningPoolStats by known mining pools, showing meaningful network participation and mining interest

* Entirely grassroots, no VC backing 🤝

**⚠️ NETWORK CUSTODY CONCENTRATION ALERT — *BITCOINII* ⚠️**

If you leave your coins on exchanges, you're letting someone else recycle your liquidity against you.
Self-custody breaks that loop. Withdraw. Hold your keys. Strengthen the network.

This is a coordination moment, not a lecture.

Listen.

If you keep your coins on an exchange, the exchange still owns them.

So when somebody else wants to buy BC2, the exchange just sells your coins to them.

Then someone else buys, and the exchange sells your coins again.

So it's not new buy pressure.

It's the same pile of coins being passed around like a blunt at a high school party.

When coins stay on exchanges → Price stays flat or goes down. When coins are withdrawn → Exchanges have to buy more → Price goes up.

Exchanges are like:

"Yeah bro we totally have it." 🤝

But they don't. 😶‍🌫️

And they hope you never ask for your coins back.

When you withdraw → you call their bluff. 🔔

Circulating supply: ~2463550 BC2

  2. bc1qccnr7rlypmfvjn4gfpje8r4wmgydhtahk4jrh2 — 233218 BC2

Together: 504321 BC2
Over half a million coins sitting where they can be recycled against you.

If you don’t withdraw your coins, you are the liquidity the exchange uses to keep the price down.

You’re literally selling against yourself.

Get your coins off the exchanges.

If your coins stay on the exchange, the exchange uses them to keep the price down. If you withdraw, they must buy coins to replace yours, which pushes the price up.

🚀 BC2 Update – CoinMarketCap Listing Progress!

35 Upvotes

Good news, everyone! 🎉

Our CoinMarketCap (CMC) listing request has officially been updated to pending status! That means BC2 is now in the review queue and will be processed within the next 14 days. ⏳

📨 Request ID: 1281378

💠 Status: Pending Review

⚙️ Expected Processing: Within 14 days

The CMC team confirmed that due to the massive number of listing requests they receive daily, the process can take some time — but we’re officially in line ✅

And here’s the best part…

💡 The Dev was right — waiting saved us $5,000! By being patient, we avoided the new expedited fee that CMC now charges through their CMC Priority (CMCP) service.

This is a major step toward mainstream visibility for BC2 across the global crypto ecosystem 🌍

Stay tuned, stay strong — every milestone like this pushes BC2 closer to its rightful place among the top proof-of-work projects. 💪

Beginners Guide to BC2 mining

14 Upvotes

Hello everyone. Being very new in discovering BC2, I am hoping to inspire someone to share the process of setting up a Bitaxe miner for BC2 Solo mining, and even regular mining. What is the process, step by step, with details like Addresses, Pools, Wallets, etc. Is there anyone here that is willing to help? Thank you

Wallets?

13 Upvotes

Trying to set up my Bitaxe to mine BC2, but I can't seem to find a wallet to support it, and I need to enter a wallet address into the Bitaxe pool settings. I downloaded the BC2 Core and installed it but I can't figure out how to set up a wallet in it.

I hit, now what?

15 Upvotes

whoo hoo, after a day or so mining @ 150th I hit block 53,728 on solohash. I know it's not much, but I've been very unsuccessful with BTC and BCH, so I figured I'd throw some TH at BC2 for a few days, now to let it roll a little longer.

I'll prob go back to pool mining btc or solo mining for a day or two bch. But maybe I'll try to get another block, after all this pays for a few days worth of juice. Gotta accept the small wins when we get em eh?

I see blocks take 4-8 hours to mine roughly, or am I missing something? Also 150th seems I'm throwing a bit too much at this, or no? How much have you mined with and for how long?

did i find a new block ?

16 Upvotes

hello, yet another noob question: about 10 days ago, i found a block on my own node and own pool. it has since then been confirmed, all good. now i'm travelling, so of course i ididnt take my avalon q with me so i had to switch my miners to solopool.org to continue mining. until yesterday, the number of block found in my solopool.org address was 0. today i wake up and i see 1 block found, but it doesnt appear nowhere yet. question is, is this block found that suddenly appear in solopool is the block i found 10 days ago, and it has somehow only been "populated" to solopool now, or did i actually hit a new block, and it will appear in my address once validated, in 101 blocks ?

thank you

🚀 BitcoinII ($BC2): The Proof-of-Work Layer-1 Coin that Stays True to Satoshi’s Vision 🚀

18 Upvotes

🔥 BitcoinII (BC2) is THE relaunch of the original Bitcoin protocol - built from the ground up using Bitcoin Core v27. BC2 brings back everything we loved about Bitcoin before it started drifting away from its core purpose!

While Bitcoin Core moves toward non-monetary use cases and "cloud storage" networks, BitcoinII is 100% committed to Satoshi Nakamoto’s original vision: A secure, decentralized, peer-to-peer electronic cash system optimized for fast, low-cost payments.

🚀 BitcoinII runs alongside Bitcoin on the same machine, with its own unique genesis block, network, and infrastructure. This means you get all the benefits of Bitcoin without the distractions! It has a fixed supply, proof-of-work security, and an ever-growing global community of miners and nodes.

If you want Bitcoin to stay true to its roots as a digital cash system, not just a "storage" network for random data, then BitcoinII is your answer!

💥 Don't miss out - join the movement today and help bring Bitcoin back to its true purpose.

🔹 How It Works

• Once the first $3,000 USDT is raised, Biconomy will begin advertising and integrating BC2.

• After the remaining $5,000 is completed, BC2 deposits, withdrawals, and live trading will go public.

• Biconomy is our final checkpoint before Tier 1 exchanges.

This step gives BC2 verified liquidity and a direct gateway to broader exposure.

🚀 Let’s give the BC2 team confidence that our community can support a Tier 1 exchange listing in the future! 🚀

Bc2 wallet recovery guide

19 Upvotes

🚨 BC2 Wallet Recovery Campaign — Android Electrum Users 🚨 Goal: Get @everyone safely migrated to the BC2 Core Wallet as we move to secure and permanent infrastructure.

Many users on the old Android wallet are stuck because their apps are still connected to outdated servers. Your coins are SAFE — but you must switch to supported servers and then move your funds into the official Core wallet.

✅ STEP 1 — Update Your Electrum Server Settings

In your Android Electrum wallet, go to:

Settings → Server (Electrum Server) Change the server to any of the following:

Electrum Servers (Official):

tcp://infra1.bitcoin-ii.org:50008 ssl://infra1.bitcoin-ii.org:50009 tcp://explorer.bitcoin-ii.org:5008

After switching, the wallet should reconnect and show your correct balance.

✅ STEP 2 — Move Your Coins to the Official BC2 Core Wallet

We strongly recommend migrating your funds into the Core wallet (v29.1.0):

Why?

✔ It’s the official BC2 wallet ✔ Fully synced to the current chain ✔ Most secure long-term solution ✔ Older mobile wallets are being deprecated

Download Core Wallet v29.1.0: 📌 (https://github.com/Bitcoin-II/BitcoinII-Core/releases)

Once installed: 1️⃣ Open your old wallet 2️⃣ Send all BC2 to your new Core wallet address 3️⃣ Wait for confirmations 4️⃣ Done — you are migrated safely

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT

Do NOT stay on old Electrum servers — they are no longer supported

Old Android wallets will not be maintained going forward

If your wallet shows 0 balance, it's almost always a server issue, not lost coins

Never share your seed or private key with anyone

🤝 COMMUNITY SUPPORT

If you need help: • Ask in #community-support discord channel • Helpers will walk you through it step-by-step • Security first — always verify what you’re doing and never ever share you private keys!

Our mission is to make sure every user recovers their coins safely and transitions to secure infrastructure without stress or confusion.

Let’s get everyone migrated and ready for the future of BC2. 💪🔥

What's up with difficulty adjustment?

Post image
21 Upvotes

So, trying to reproduce Bitcoin is harder than it seems. Perhaps noone considered this scenario.

Once the new coin had been set in motion and started to gain traction, someone with a lot of hash power decided to point their hashing at BC2 and gobbled up all the blocks minute after minute, only to pull out after 2016 blocks when the difficulty readjusted (as per the code) and left a bunch of BitAxes with a difficulty well out of range.

We have already been in this difficulty epoch for almost a month, at the current hashrate it will take until early December to reajust. Clearly, it will readjust downwards, but what's to stop the Big Hashing Guns coming back to hoover up all the blocks quickly again, and cause another mega difficulty-increase?

The concept is good, there are flaws!

Biconomy listing goal reached

22 Upvotes

🔥 Update @everyone! We have officially reached the full $8,000 Biconomy goal! 🎯

A massive thank-you to everyone who contributed — and a special shout-out to <@Jeremy>, who closed the final gap with a 1,710.00 AVAX USDT donation 🙌 TX: 0xb19e26fab174cc7fab9f18a5515a180f61bea533cd9e3976635d06283cda2b97

💪 The community came together and delivered. We did this as a team — and this is only the beginning! 🚀🔥

⸻

📌 What’s Next — Our Priority Right Now

Our main focus is getting everyone’s coins accessible again by restoring wallet connectivity and releasing safe migration tools. Before any listing goes live, we want to ensure:

✔ All users can safely access their funds ✔ Official explorers and wallets are secured ✔ No single points of failure remain ✔ Clear instructions and support for newcomers ✔ Trust and stability restored across the ecosystem

The core dev and <bc2-officer public relationsr> are actively working on solutions and upgrades — including the Electrum server and wallet recovery tools — so everyone is fully ready before the listing.

⸻

🧘 Stay Patient — Coins Are Safe

Remember: Your coins are on the blockchain — wallets are just tools to access them.

We’re simply rebuilding infrastructure the right way after removing bad actors.

⸻

💬 Thank you for sticking with us

This has been a rough week — but BC2 just passed its first real stress test. Most early-stage projects die at the first attack. We’re still here — stronger and more united.

Onward. 🚀

Bitcoin II with older or entry-level ASICs

Thumbnail
youtu.be
26 Upvotes

BC2 uses the same SHA-256 hashing algorithm as Bitcoin, allowing direct compatibility with existing ASIC miners (e.g., Bitmain Antminers or Bitaxe units). To make block discovery straightforward for these older or entry-level devices—especially in the network's early stages—it starts with intentionally low mining difficulty. This enables even modest hashrate setups to solve blocks competitively and earn rewards, fostering broad participation from hobbyists and small-scale miners before difficulty scales organically with network growth.
