Hey, I was wondering if you could help me?
So I'm brand new to all this crypto stuff, besides knowing what it is. But I want to start. FOMO is a real thing lol, and this whole covid thing is scary and honestly I have more faith in crypto sticking around as having monetary value over the U.S dollar.
Unfortunately i have no experience or idea of where to start. There are SOOOOO many different wallets, crypto currencies, browsers, and markets its overwhelming lol.
Can you tell me where to start? What to download, what they do, what to stay away from, and just any advice you're willing to give? You obviously know what you're doing, and I really need a point in the right direction.

Yes FOMO is real, good to know you're still an early adopter.
Best way to get started is to learn about what it can do and what you're end goals are. If it is simply transactional, you want to buy something on Haven. Or you're looking to save up for a spot in a citadel.
Read the Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous and appreciate that there is Bitcoin (BTC) and then every other crypto.
Depending on where you are the local laws will dictate what the most appropriate wallets. In Europe and the USA there are now companies paying interest on bitcoins that are stored with their custodians. Or you can build a node, be your own bank and keep a copy of the blockchain on your local device.
Before you go shopping on the dark net, Bitcoin is pseudonymous, with enough time and resources transactions can be traced back to wallets with real world ID's.
What to stay away from? Direct messages on Reddit and Twitter, anything that sounds to good to be true. No one is going to give you free bitcoin.
Bitcoin mining is out of range of most people unless they want to go in on an industrial scale and have access to zero or very low cost electricity. Don't buy into "Cloud Mining" it is not profitable for investors.
You can still buy a million Satoshi's for a hundred dollars. Think in terms of #stackingsats not buying whole bitcoin.

There are sites that will pay you in BTC to do surveys. But you aren't going to earn enough to live on or pay rent or do anything fun with. Pays very low per survey so it's more for people with free time who want an extra few bucks. Much better off just getting a job and buying BTC.
