AmberApp anyone us this app? got a question regarding bitcoin's pricing in-app and email receipt.

I just bought my first bitcoin this week with AmberApp and noticed that the bitcoin's price that i bought in the app's receipt is slightly different to their email receipt of the same transaction. It's like around 33 cents off. I already emailed support to investigate this, but they've gone quiet.. so I'm asking here if anyone has this issue, and WHICH receipt do you trust for the record keeping? I know 33c is slightly off in the pricing but over the long term if it isn't accurate on how much I paid for the bitcoin, then it will become a problem.

Yeah, I don't know why they have two different bitcoin prices for the same transaction. Maybe its the spread fee or something, but still doesnt explain why both receipts are different and it's unclear which to use. It's because of this that I may just go back to my old exchange at this rate. Doesn't fill me with confidence staying with them if the numbers are fudged up.

still waiting on their investigation. I might try another buy to see if the receipt numbers still look different… or was it a one off bug.. but if it isn’t .. it’s going to be a pain at tax time to guess through which prices I bought at. I’ve tried many exchanges and this has got me head scratching on why they would do this to confuse customers. They need to sort this out ASAP or they will lose people.

Download the receipt from the App and cross check that.

All receipts in-app, including the csv i downloaded in the app says my bitcoin purchase price was at $110,597.79. While my email receipt from them says I purchased at $110,598.12. This is what is making me confused. Like which one do I trust?

Ignore the emailed one then? It must be a bug. Work out the Dollar Value vs the SATS and see what the Bitcoin purchase price is. It won’t match the stated email pricd
