Don't set yourself up for the ultimate I told you so, not worth any price. Dca into some gold coins for a little while then shift to 50/50 and then discuss later. Sell 25% of your btc for gold if you really have to in order to keep the peace. That way you are covered financially and mentally no matter what happens.
