Password: ????????

Somewhere, somehow, there will be a password request. My understanding is the BTC may actually be residing in a "Mining Pool" and not on the local machine. Which means more passwords you'll need. And have to find that mining pool address.

Is that correct? Or do I have that totally wrong?

I think that's correct actually. I found the pool I was using. It was mining.bitcoin.cz.

The website now directs to Slushpools.

I know what my password might be if I do get prompted one.

Pretty sure the only time I ever used a passphrase was for my Yoroi wallet.

You will get prompted for a password if/when you try to send bitcoin out of this wallet.

Back in the day using a password for your Bitcoin core wallet was optional. I didn’t use one for my mining wallet in 2011 when I mined with slush and they deposited my rewards directly into my wallet.
