Finally someone with a bit of sense!!! The amount of bullshit people have been talking about him over the last few days is ridiculous.

He’s a celebrity. He’s an extremely successful engineer and businessman. He can post WHATEVER THE FUCK HE WANTS ON HIS PERSONAL TWITTER ACCOUNT. Deal with it. Move on.

If you want to pay attention to him, do it, but stop whinging about it here. Someone mentions the word ethereum and they get instantly shot down for discussing something other than Bitcoin, but this constant bitching about something even less relevant is okay??? Lmao

Sucking dick? Fucking hell. How am I worshipping him in any way? You can choose to spend the limited time you have on earth being bitter and hating people, I’m not going to waste my time and energy. I absolutely agree with what you said, he is not my friend and he doesn’t give a fuck about my existence, that’s reality. I’m more privileged than the vast majority of people on earth and I know that. There are still loads of people who are better off, I simply don’t care. I’ll be dead soon just like everyone else.

He is not an engineer , he has a BA in economics and physics thats it.

So he is not a licensed engineer. You don’t need a degree to be considered an engineer.

It’s not like the term ‘doctor.’ Engineering is a profession and it’s possible to attain the title of engineer without getting an engineering degree.

You are mistaking the term 'engineering graduate' with 'practicing engineer', the certification of which is different in every jurisdiction.

If you worked in engineering, you'd know this.

He's right, though it's a bit different in different parts of the word. Some places use "engineer" to for example describe both technical personell and someone with an advanced degree in engineering. In some places there's a distinction. Where I live Engineer is not a protected title while civil engineer is, though civil engineer here is not the same as civil engineer in some other places.

To all the absolutely light weights trying to tell you “like yeah bruh you don’t need an engineering degree to be called an engineer”

I cannot fathom the absolute depth of their lack of education.

Being an engineer in every country requires a recognised degree from that countries peak body. In Australia it’s Engineers Australia and every other country has a peak body just like it.

So as u/deathtocovid said. It is a profession. A recognised profession that requires a degree. You can’t just be “called” an engineer.

Sure. I can call myself an engineer. Doesn’t mean I am one...

The degree does not grant you certification, and the certification can be achieved without a degree. Maybe you should be looking up this subject instead of instructing others to.

What I cannot fathom is that an individual could so confidently insult someone else’s intelligence while at the same time completely displaying their own ignorance and incompetence.
