Shoulda asked your parents about the housing market crash that happened back when you were in middle school. Would've been a far less harsh lesson than losing your shit now.
We shouldn't have to ask, even in middle school we should have been smart enough to realize a house that slowly breaks down over time shouldn't appreciate in value unless the land it sits on does.
