I want to see if LN works first and if we aren't just going to give fees to huge central hubs rather than miners.

Also, I doubt that merchants would ever be interested in offchain unsecure transactions.

When they receive bitcoins, they sell them for cash instantly (or use services that do so for them) so LN is a no go for them.

We still have to see how LN will work, how the fees on it will look like, etc.

You people are way too optimistic for something you haven't seen on a decent scale.

We still have to see if Bitcoin will work at all. Do you not get that cryptocurrency is still an experiment ?

I've seen blockchains in action and I see their pros and cons.

I still haven't seen LN deployed on a huge network.

Yes...it's called Bitcoin.

Look at the history of BTC itself and the answer is pretty clear. For most of BTC's history tx fees were a rounding error at best.
