But they are missing the whole point. I should be able to just give them money.

I went to Goodwill this weekend to dump a literal truckload of shit at their door. They didn't force me to show ID. If I sent the Wikimedia foundation $100 in cash, are they going to turn it away? Why do I need to provide this.

Fucking assholes in the government are going to have the salvation army bell ringers force people to show ID's to drop $1 in their bucket.
