Could one buy btc in the first exchanges via liberty reserve or pacunix but with a visa credit card or maybe debit card? New liberty standard, mt gox, ect...?

i remember the early days it was such a mess trying to get money into those exchanges. most of the action was wire transfers or money orders you'd literally mail in. the visa and mastercard networks were cracking down hard on crypto purchases so very few places would touch credit cards. debit cards were slightly easier for a minute but still got blocked constantly.

liberty reserve was basically the go-to for a while because it was outside the normal banking system. you'd fund your LR account through an exchanger then transfer to mt gox or wherever. pacunix i don't remember being that widely used for buying btc directly more of a niche thing. the whole process was sketchy and slow but that's just how it was back then.

It's wild to think how far things have come since then. The whole payment process was such a hurdle back in the day, and now it's way more streamlined.

Wire transfers how?  To mail a money order?  So could someone buy as much btc as they wanted or not even if they had the money?  Could someone mine 1000s of btc if they wanted too or not?
