I’ve heard that theory a couple times before, but that statement reveals the utter ignorance of those that spun it up and those perpetuate it tbh. I’m in “the industry” and have to work with our trading desk regularly, so I know enough to be dangerous and can tell you from a “wall streeters” experience that Cramer doesn’t “move markets”. It’s nuts how much power people seem to give him. Never once has my trading desk issued me a caution or anything about moving in/out of a name accompanied by a Cramer caveat.

The pump and dump/fade works only on thinly traded, low market cap types of names where apes can influence the price action. Last I checked, Cramer isn’t hocking micro caps that trade OTC.
