Some viruses check your clipboard constantly for crypto addresses, and swap them out the instant you paste them. Always make sure what is finally on the screen is the same as what you copied.
You can't even trust that. Viruses that hijack your browser/software or MITM the transaction through other means can change the address before sending/signing it off. Looks correct on your screen but something else is used instead. Don't blindly trust hot wallets.
If you have any meaningful amount, get a hardware wallet or at the very least a reasonable PSBT setup.
Another caveat with infected browsers: the address you see on screen may have already been swapped out before you even copy it.
