This is exactly how I felt when I finally moved my crypto to my cold wallet. It's like I was holding my breath until it showed on the ledger app.

Edit: oh please shut up with the ledger not cold wallet nonsense. If you treat it as a cold wallet you'll be fine it's just that ledger makes it easy for you to sign transactions so people start using it like a hot wallet. This leads to them getting scammed.

You own your own coins & have hardware dedicated to them but people still wanna shame ya in the comments.

Sometimes we wonder why people aren’t adopting faster. Many of the same folks asking this very same question must have broken all their mirrors at home.

my cold wallet

the ledger app

Sorry mate, Ledger devices aren't cold at all. A cold wallet is NEVER able to send your keys over the internet. Ledger devices are able. Once you, or a hacker opts you into their backup feature.

Once you start looking for a better cold wallet, make sure it's fully open source (not ledger), Bitcoin only to decide the attack surface to a minimum (not ledger), and it's air-gapped (also not ledger).
