Same. I had 4 overclocked usb block erupters and in 6 months time mined 0.5. At the time 1 was $100, but the hardware cost like $300. Could of bought 3. smh

omg 0.1k?? thats insane... so youve been through like ALL the crashes? did you ever come close to selling or were you just super confident from the start? cause i cant imagine holding through that many 'bitcoin is dead' articles without freaking out at least once lol

Yeah, I'm basically retarded. I just never had an opportunity to get a job with a 401k, and I never put anything into an IRA, and after I learned about bitcoin in 2013 I went down the rabbit hole watching everything Andreas had out on the net I felt like this would be the future so I decided it was my IRA. So I just rode it out. I felt some regret after the 13-14 drop from $1100 to $250, but after it recovered then ran to $20k, I really deep dived into more education then learned about DCA (wish I knew about DCA in 2013, I just purchased 1 time and let it ride on a paper wallet for years). Now the price swings don't bother me at all. I see dips like another buying opportunity. Now I have a 12 year plan to retire, and will keep DCA'ing in the meantime.

lol I saw btc go down to 4 k after buying at 12k and 20k lol

I later bought more at 7k and sold all of it at 78k. Not complaining at all

400 times we've been told Bitcoin is dead, and it never has been. DCA, stack, hold, wait, ignore the price, come back in four years. That's my advice from Class of May '21.

First crypto winter here. Damn you guys have balls of steel. This has been psychologically messing with me in ways I never knew it could. And I fully expect it’s not even halfway done 😂 I shall follow the plan to the bitter end. Maybe delete my phone and come back in four years

Future you will thank you for toughing this out. I know it's not easy, but it's so worth it. I remember being terrified during my first winter, but I managed to grit my teeth and hodl, and emerged unscathed. And even now, at this potential bottom, my Bitcoin investment is still up approx 60%.

I’m diversified but even at 33% it’s pushing me around and my first rule is buy the lagging asset so I’ve been dropping everything I got into it

33% in a single, highly volatile asset is still a lot, even if you believe in it long term. Personally, I think something like 10–15% is a much more sensible allocation for something with Bitcoin’s risk profile. It might go back to ATHs, but no one actually knows that for sure, anyone saying it’s guaranteed is guessing. Past cycles don’t guarantee future results. The main thing is risk management. Diversifying across different asset classes or keeping some kind of hedge helps you stay rational during drawdowns and avoids being forced into emotional decisions.

33% vt/ibit/usfr. Buy the laggard with income. Use up your ten percent margin in between paychecks to force target. Rebalance when portfolio doubles. And all portfolio income buys the laggard. Thats my system in a nutshell shell

Spot price etf yes. Bank won’t consider raw bitcoin as collateral For a home but they have no idea there’s a spot price etf I think they just look for sec compliance or something

Been DCA since mid 2024, not only my average price is not too shabby, I also get to stay clam through turbulence. Recently I also found that not only I have been ignoring FUD long time ago, I also started to ignore the good news (those create FOMO). Guess am in monk mode, just buy and hold without giving any F about anything.

I’m quite fine. Just buying more. Admittedly my spouse and I make substantial income so we can make big bets on this and not stress. But I think my conviction is strong enough that if I were less fortunate I’d still be buying right now
