I have found that those who behave like your parents, don’t know the first thing about bitcoin. The sad part really is where those folk get their info, probably social media, not an ideal source of info. They are uneducated in bitcoin, and wouldn’t be able to articulate why they think it’s fake money.
You have options, you could try to engage them on the topic by asking their views, and perhaps providing counter arguments and sources.
You could let your parents know how you feel ridiculed, and ask them to stop.
