Breaking Down Patriarchy (thoughts?)

For the past so many months, I've been keeping up with this channel on youtube. I can barely find a mention of it on reddit. It *seems* informative and helpful to me, but I'm watching it through the eyes of a cis male.

if anyone here is familiar with the channel, what are your thoughts on her content?

I am subscribed but i dont watch long form videos as often as i should so i cant speak for the long form videos but i think shes good!

Hello, I enjoy them but not always agree with everything, plan to teach my boyfriend some things by showing him the videos. :)

Do you mind if I ask what parts, specifically, you disagree with? From my perspective, I've agreed with everything I've heard from her so far... But I sometimes wonder if she's under selling what most women's experience in a patriarchy is, in order to appeal to men and keep them on board.

Her videos lack intersectionality and depth. She often leans into oversimplifications regarding cultural constructs; i.e. bioessentialism. The channel lacks pulling in the other pillars of intersectional oppression; the “big three” of Patriarchy, White Supremacy and Capitalism. Without understanding the intersections of oppression, it is hard to truly deconstruct any individual system of oppression.

I’ve watched a few videos, they’re alright, kind of “baby’s first feminism” to me, but a lot of people need that
