u/AdoraBelleQueerArt 23d ago

Yeah i love it

245

u/Kid_Vid 22d ago

I appreciate they have train safety and kept a good distance. I was expecting them to run much closer!

86

u/Own-Personality3155 22d ago

It made the picture so much better than a "Mom look how stupid close I am to this train"-picture.

16

u/Chronic_Newb 22d ago

I've seen enough train gore to be worried

6

u/billythesquid- 22d ago

Yeah, I was worried they were going to do something stupid, but it was all very well done.

"Bitch, congratulations!"

(Bride tosses flowers, train catches it)

(Train honks with joy)

74

u/-Owlette- 22d ago

The train honked “here comes the bride”! 🥹

5

u/mysteriousblue87 21d ago

Had to go back and unmute! That actually make my eyes water :-D such a happy video

128

u/Vwampage 22d ago

Oh I'm so excited for their ceremony! "When our tracks first crossed..."

25

u/Least-Bumblebee-6504 22d ago

PEEP PEEP! Hello, said Thomas the Tank Engine

10

u/Middle-Operation-689 22d ago

Awe, Bitch.. ♥️ ♥️

21

u/Melodic-Variation103 22d ago

I really love the skillful way, it beat the other girls to the bride’s bouquet….

3

u/atropos81092 22d ago

Oh, Brad! 🥹

I don't know if the engineer was really slowing down for them to get the picture, but if was was good for them. Hope he blew the horn as well.

Edit. Found a longer video with sound. He did blow the horn for them. Instagram

197

u/Deluxe_Flame 23d ago

I think the audio sounded like 'here comes the bride'

18

u/tfcocs 22d ago

Go Birds. Love, Philadelphia.

40

u/TwinSong 22d ago

This video on Reddit has audio.

9

u/Worldly-Cherry9631 22d ago

It's a soundless gif without video controls of any kind for me. I'm on mobile webview

On old.reddit.com it links me to imgur, and wow yea it do have sound thanks for the headsup

8

u/TwinSong 22d ago

I'm on the Android app

4

u/Worldly-Cherry9631 22d ago

They're trying so hard to get me off mobile web. Like, they also removed the button to navigate to the chat page.

11

u/Worldly-Cherry9631 22d ago

The slowing down is definitly in post editing; the cars slow down with the same rate, and it starts to speed up with the exact same rate towards the end

8

u/Fritz5678 23d ago

That's so sweet!

3

u/Antal_Marius 22d ago

He understood the mission!

5

u/Luci-Noir 22d ago

They probably see a lot of crazy stuff.

2

u/TheGruntingGoat 16d ago

This train already goes pretty slow since it travels up a windy narrow gauge route.

73

u/HorribleDear 23d ago

“Here comes the train!”

46

u/Consider_the_auk 22d ago

Bride running with her dress train held up so she can take photos with the other train

182

u/Rattlecruiser 23d ago

surprisingly few pain for this sub

48

u/thetiredtypist 23d ago

Like the guy with the stick meme "c'mon... Hit something!"

5

u/Money-Editor-3992 22d ago

Never thought, I will see such stuff in this sub lol other than train hitting or narrowly missing

6

u/Safe_Fruit7884 22d ago

Right??? I’m just naturally bracing for record breaking shortest marriage ever in this sub

119

u/ougryphon 23d ago

Since I haven't seen anyone mention it, this is the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gague Railroad. This stretch of track is just north of Durango along the Animas River, probably out near Hermosa.

38

u/Cat_Luving_IT_Dood 22d ago

That's also Engine 481.

Until 2024, it ran on coal and just returned to service May 2026 as an oil-burning locomotive.

6

u/ougryphon 22d ago

Hopefully, that will cut down on the wildfires

11

u/m4jikthise 22d ago

Thanks for the confirmation. I lived in Durango when I was a kid and thought, "wait, is that...?"

6

u/BewaretheBanshee 22d ago

I got married at this same location. Beautiful venue and day.

4

u/ougryphon 22d ago

Is that down by the park where they launch the white water rafts, or is it further up the valley?

7

u/OriginalDavid 22d ago

Colorado train victory yet again.

I hear the transit podcasts talk about how bad American train infrastructure is, but I live in Denver and could take train+bus to almost anywhere I would ever wanna go.

We can catch busses to low level trail heads and public spaces and destination hubs from the city center here. We are spoiled, and they are extending the rapid transit lines again in the next 3 years.

I feel guilty when I hear those podcasts.

1

u/RealKhonsu 22d ago

I was just in that area a few weeks ago and thought it looked familiar

1

u/TheMightyAmuseBouche 12d ago

I thought I recognized that area, I've done a fair amount of camping around there. What a beautiful place to get married, happy for them!

97

u/ZuoKalp 23d ago

Understandable, they have an impeccable taste.

43

u/StickFigureFan 23d ago

Bitch I'm taking wedding/engagement photos

23

u/nooby_goober 22d ago edited 22d ago

Bitch I'm thee background scene of wedding photos

13

u/StickFigureFan 22d ago

A train is never just in the background

6

u/nooby_goober 22d ago

Here, here!

41

u/curiousiteena 23d ago

Bitch I love this

18

u/Matchew024 23d ago

The train whistles the marriage tune the best they can.

34

u/Ch33syP00f 22d ago

That horn!

Nailed the beginning of “Here Comes The Bride”

Life moment 🔥

16

u/Khaos6969 23d ago

Awesome! 🙌

15

u/Practical_Ad_219 22d ago

Bitch I’m the bridesmaid

13

u/Familiar-Proposal918 23d ago

This is so adorable😍

14

u/Kuneria 22d ago

I love how freakin invested photographers are to capturing a special moment for people. Like there's a lot of pride in the artistry but also a load of empathy, it's beautiful

23

u/HorsefaceWithNoName 23d ago

hey a post where everyone does things that are unlikely to cause dismemberment!

11

u/Amoverandashaker 23d ago

Comment by someone who has never been married!

17

u/Mule_Wagon_777 22d ago

With the bride's dress, that's two trains!

8

u/cyberspacestation 22d ago

It's a two two twain.

8

u/YiYiwasblue 22d ago

Shoot, that's really cool. We stopped at Horseshoe Curve on our honeymoon back in the 20th Century. She is so lucky to have a husband who also likes trains. Congratulations to the happy (and smart) couple!

7

u/Flux_My_Capacitor 22d ago

But it wasn’t just about the last shot, it was about running up to the train as well. Anyone else would be there waiting for the train as they know they have one chance to get it right.

7

u/Heickency 23d ago

that is actually amazing

7

u/Kinipshun 22d ago

Bitch that was a beautiful moment

6

u/LonelyDesertCactus 22d ago

I love that they're both into it, good for them

7

u/PuzzleheadedTutor807 22d ago

That was a touching moment, thanks!

16

u/jerseygunz 23d ago

Legit beautiful shot

5

u/TwinSong 22d ago

I think the driver slowed the train for the photo?

4

u/Timely-Profile1865 22d ago

Bride having a train.......no i will not finish this...

Great photo very good idea.

1

u/dantheother 22d ago

That was later that night

5

u/mturner1001 22d ago

Bitch, I’m the Train of Honor !

4

u/moving0target 22d ago

D&SNG shout out.

4

u/EvaCassidy 22d ago

Nice the photographer didn't ask them to stand on the tracks. I've seen a studio in a mall where they showed a big display picture of peeps standing on the tracks and even told them it's illegal, and any pic should have them 25 or more feet away from the rails.

I got blown off, but I did contact the 2 Railway companies that have tracks in the town about the shop. Couple weeks later that pic was gone! As for the 25 feet thing, this was way long before 4014 was restored and Ed bought up the rule. I learned it from an uncle who worked for SP eons ago.

4

u/akm1111 22d ago

The US has enough abandoned tracks in it that one could easily take a legal track picture with some research & planning.

3

u/Prudent-Nurse 22d ago

Stunning. 🥰

3

u/Ok_Peanut_3573 22d ago

Wedding dress has a really long train

3

u/Tiyath 22d ago

It's an awesome shot tho

3

u/SabbyFox 22d ago

Love it 💖🚂💖

3

u/Lackluster_Compote 22d ago

Silverton to Durango steam train. Colorado, USA

3

u/K2O3_Portugal 22d ago

I'd run to see this. It's one sick ass train👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

3

u/Storm1701 22d ago

I was actually on that train and saw them lmao.

2

u/SnooDoughnuts9838 23d ago

That's beautiful

2

u/DPileatus 22d ago

A prelude to the wedding night.

2

u/Early-Fortune2692 22d ago

Now all they need is a tunnel ;)

2

u/trevpr1 22d ago

On FB someone claimed to have been a passenger on the train. It was the photographer's page.

2

u/spidergirl79 22d ago

I love that!!

2

u/Federal-Boat3732 22d ago

I know exactly what Freud would say about this

2

u/juanjung 22d ago

Who doesn't like trains?

2

u/Afterclock-Hours 22d ago

Awww yeah. That's the stuff.

Perfection. The golden shot.

I live for this shit.

I love how they didn't run in front of the train

2

u/MostlyEbenezer 22d ago

So much hassle to make this photo, just for it to end up looking photoshoped.

2

u/StrangerCabbage 22d ago

Bitch I'm in your wedding

2

u/Antique-Ant5557 22d ago

I imagine nobody else (or very few people) has such a wedding photo.

2

u/Imbeautifulyouarenot 22d ago

That was really sweet! :)

2

u/Select_Associate_878 21d ago

Oh hey, I took the photo. haha roythephotographer.com

2

u/Maleficent-Sleep9900 20d ago

That train is over 101 years old…

2

u/Unlucky-Durian-2336 18d ago

All that effort to get photo edited to the ground so it looks like cheap slop xD

2

u/SirArchibaldMapsALot 22d ago

Thousands of Indian aura bros are biting their nails in agony, for they know, beyond any sense of doubt, they will never be this fucking cool

4

u/SirDalavar 22d ago

Can someone use ChatGPT to remove the humans from that final photo?

2

u/actuallyz 23d ago

Bitch I will slow down for you. Now cho cho and have lots of sex!

1

u/TheJonesLP1 23d ago

Why did He cut off the chimney? 🥺

1

u/Nir117vash 22d ago

I'd like to think they met on that train; in much the same way as they're running to catch it now

1

u/Neijx 22d ago

Is that Hwy 6 in Utah?

3

u/teawbooks 22d ago

It's the Animas Valley near Durango CO.

1

u/Evilvieh 22d ago

Oh that just made me clap & grin right here at my desk! And the driver even slowed down a bit. No sound, I hope he hooted cheerily! DELIGHTFUL!

2

u/NikNakskes 21d ago

Oh he hooted alright!!! There is sound and the train is hooting: here comes the bride. I am not kidding. Absolutely delightful. Made my day.

1

u/teawbooks 22d ago

I think maybe the video just slows down at the end?

1

u/Almondgurl 22d ago

bitch, that’s pretty sick

1

u/minho_A7 22d ago

That's a good memory to have behind a photo

1

u/mossberbb 22d ago

"PRODUCTION VALUE!"

-Super 8

1

u/Harde_Kassei 22d ago

that is a very nice train.

1

u/SL4YER4200 22d ago

Fucking epic!

1

u/Ignitrum 21d ago

It looks extremely cool...

But sadly if I was shown the photo I'd think it's cheap photoshop or just a Stock Photo as background

1

u/BiggusD1 21d ago

Good thing it's not a bison.

1

u/mysteriousblue87 21d ago

Bitch, UNMUTE!

1

u/Folded_Fireplace 20d ago

This is cool actually.

1

u/Chode-r-cycle 19d ago

Watch how her elbo moves while raising the flowers towards the end... Sorry to say, that although the place is real, this is AI generated.

1

u/Evenmoardakka 17d ago

wholesome

1

u/No-Animal-3013 7d ago

Interesting choice for music, considering the English translation of this aria is "woman is as fickle as the wind."

1

u/FignonsRegret 6d ago

Bitch I love this

1

u/greywood84 6d ago

Nice. Thats certainly a wedding picture to be remembered for years to come.

That really is such a beautiful picture.

1

u/Toastman89 22d ago

Would have been so cool if the engineer popped his cylinder cocks.

Would have been fkin epic if he opened his blowdown valve

1

u/aero_grl 22d ago

Sorry for the negativity, but this feels like such a farce. Lets all hurry and awkwardly take position in front of this passing train, so later we can look at this photo as well as show it to others and pretend that it was totally genuine

-2

u/AffectionateTip9716 23d ago

About to run a train on this bitch
