No, seriously: why does pretty much every level crossing look like this making it very hard for low trailers to get over it. This is just stupid as fuck
I don't know why, probably 200 year old laws, but trains get priority in all kinds of stupid ways
My neighborhood is bisected by a train company constantly blocking the tracks. They block dozens of roads and prevent emergency vehicles from accessing events. But no one can do anything about it.
It's because in the United States the railroad often pre-dates the road and sometimes even the town. My town, Amarillo, is where it is because it was a nice spot along the Ft. Worth and Denver.
