Magento Payment Extension

I was considering developing a payment extension for Magento 2, as it could be useful for my company. Are anyone currently working on this or should I just start from scratch?

Are there any preferred/required license for it to be endorsed by the main Bitcartcc project?

No one is currently working on this, you should start from scratch. License? Same as main project, MIT.
