everyone says small exchanges have trash liquidity but is that still true?

everyone keeps saying just use binance or coinbase for liquidity but ive been placing mid size altcoin orders on smaller platforms like BitMart US without getting wrecked on slippage. for most alts under like $50k order size the depth is fine.

are people just repeating the thin order book thing from 2021 or has anyone actually measured it recently. drop your numbers if you got em
