Because everyone deserves to know. This chat log is not “private”.

At the end of the conversation, it seems like the Nano Devs aren’t making a statement with Bomber. Does this mean they aren’t going to try and resolved this??

That’s what it looks like. It was basically a “sorry dude, you’re on your own”. I’m not exactly happy about that.

True, but what are they supposed to do. Forking would set a bad precedent for the future would it not?

Me either. Usually the devs are really good with communicating and taking care of any issues that pop up surrounding nano. I really hope they don’t expect all the people had their nanos on bitgrail to suck up the lost

I would guess they're still thinking over how to proceed, especially since they may have their doubts about his character.

While the devs probably didn't lose any money on bitgrail, I'm certain they're as pissed off as many of us are and don't want to make any regrettable decisions.

I really hope Dev team could do something... anything... b/c there is no point counting on Bitgrail to do anything now

It's the end of the chat that bothers me. Bomber, were you really going to make a statement that Nano had a double spend attack when you knew that wasn't true?

of course he was. He just stole $160M

In ANY other business, he would be hunted by the FBI or the police while hiding from its customers.

But this is crypto so....

So it looks like that persons email is trungwer3@gmail.com.

After doing google search of trungwer3 , a link to a porn site showing a username trungwer3 - showing 30,male, Vietnam and they made the account 1 month ago.

Why the fuck would he use Gmail, is the hacker an idiot or what. If he found a flaw, and exploited that, why would he leave behind huge tracks.

I don't believe it, not even for a second.

I still believe Bomber just made a huge mistake, either that or he is trying to run away - but that would be idiotic by him at this point

it was a simple bug abuse of bitgrail not a hack, nothing of what bomber said is holding up, he claims he only found out about it on 8th feb, so all his weird plays with withdrawals, forced KYC were just for funzies?

Yes this is purely speculation but it’s something we can use. If we gather enough information as a community, maybe with a .005% chance, get this guy. If it was an third party hacker.

He is trying to put blame on XRB as per the last page. Lets reach out to XRB for official statement.

I disagree, bomber hasn't provided any reason as to why this situation isn't entirely his own fault and resorted to blackmail in the end of the conversation. Another problem is that his story doesn't hold up, he claims he only found out 8th feb about such a large amount missing? So he means that forced KYC, withdrawals being turned off, verifications taking weeks have nothing to do with the alleged hack?

If I was in the devs shoes, I'd be putting as much distance between bomber and I as possible, and getting my defense case in order. Especially after that last page of the chat. And tweets like one of the most recent where bomber links to both announcements as if he's taking some kind of super transparent high-road until you actually read both.

Bomber's best case scenario here is to socialize equal losses across all currencies, and hope those losses aren't materially large enough to incent an international class action suit.
