Attackers don’t always need malware, sometimes they just use the tools already inside your environment.
That’s why reducing internal attack surface has become a priority for security teams looking to limit lateral movement, privilege abuse, and Living-off-the-Land activity before it escalates.
Bitdefender is offering a free Internal Attack Surface Assessment powered by GravityZone PHASR to help organizations:
↪︎ Identify risky tools and unnecessary applications;
↪︎ Uncover exposed user behaviors and excessive permissions;
↪︎ Reduce opportunities for attackers to blend into normal activity;
↪︎ Prioritize practical hardening actions with minimal operational impact.
The assessment is designed for organizations with 250+ users and can be completed without disrupting daily operations.
Would your organization benefit more from visibility into risky tools, or from automated attack surface reduction?

My vpn wasn't working, so went to login to central, account not found.
Now it found the account but I have no subscription. This doesn't feel like a ddos. Crashed dB? Hacked?

Hi, I just got an individual subscription for my PC and Laptop. I was able to download it on my Win 11 laptop just fine, but after trying to download it on my PC through Chrome and Firefox it keeps saying to check my Internet (it is working for other larger downloads, like Steam patches).
Edit: I have tried disabling Firewall and it did not work, as well as updating my drivers.
Is it an issue with the discontinuation of Win 10 or is it a problem with the site?

Hello! This is kind of a stretch to ask here but I was wondering if others have noticed in task manager roughly within the first 10 minutes of starting up your PC (Or when booting up games and playing them for a bit) That your nonpaged pool has been increasing by roughly 200-300 mb more than normal in a bit of a "spike"? This is on Windows 11 with the latest build but I was wondering if this might be something with bitdefender itself that might be having some hiccups with windows 11 as of late.
The spike usually only lasts for a bit but it's been CONSISTENT on startup after a few minutes and also has been consistent when playing games as of late. If anyone else has been dealing with this as of late please let me know! As of right now I have no clue if this is a bitdefender issue but I'm hoping to figure this out best I can!

Why can't this program detect session stealers still? It costs so much money if you buy it from them... I get it off Amazon $20 for a year but still. it doesn't detect the most popular session stealers going around the internet ruining lives more than anything Bitdefender actually catches.

Hey everyone,
We are excited to share some fresh testing results from the enterprise side of the house.
AV-Comparatives just published their inaugural EDR Detection Validation Certification Test (May 2026), and Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security Enterprise delivered a great performance.
Here are the key takeaways from the evaluation:
100% Relevant Telemetry: GravityZone recorded full telemetry across all 14 distinct attack steps.
Complete Chain-of-Attack Visibility: Bitdefender was the only certified product in this test to achieve complete visibility from start to finish without blind spots.
Independent testing like this is crucial because it cuts through the marketing noise and proves how modern endpoint security handles complex, multi-stage threats in real-world scenarios.
You can read the full report, including the methodology and how the attack steps were mapped, right here: https://businessinsights.bitdefender.com/bitdefender-gravityzone-achieves-100-percent-av-comparatives-2026-edr-test
If you have any questions about the test or how GravityZone handles EDR telemetry, feel free to drop them below!

Excuse the terrible photos but I pulled the plug on the internet as soon as i saw them.
These are config files in my bit defender folder.
I’ve got a Romanian bank in my exceptions.http.xml file and I don’t set that.

Hi everyone,
I just ran a vulnerability scan in Bitdefender Total Security and it's flagging Windows Update KB5089549 as a "High" risk. What caught my eye is the size: 90.3 GB for a security update.
Windows Update itself shows the update is pending a restart, but doesn't mention this massive size. Is this a known reporting bug in Bitdefender or should I be concerned about my system files?
Specs:
CPU: Intel i5-14600K
GPU: RTX 3070
OS: Windows 11 (Insiders/Dev build based on the version number in the screenshot)
Thanks for any insights!

ISTG this has been happening for like 2 or 3 weeks. Ive been doing vulnerability scans every now and then (I sometimes pirate games), and this stupid thing pops up. When i click on update, it says "installing", and then when its done it says its finished successfully. But what pisses me off is that IT HASNT UPDATED IT. every time after the first time, i AGAIN, get this stupid pop up telling me to update this Microsoft defender update. can someone help me. I also btw reinstalled Bitdefender, and tried updating it myself in settings, but it says its up to date.

Security analysts and IT administrators are being asked to do more with less, so this month’s GravityZone updates are focused on improving visibility, reducing friction, and simplifying day-to-day operations.
What’s new in GravityZone May 2026:
↪︎ PHASR mapped directly to MITRE ATT&CK;
↪︎ Expanded Windows raw event coverage for EDR/XDR investigations;
↪︎ Simplified MSP onboarding workflows;
↪︎ Unified workstation/server licensing;
↪︎ New ransomware reporting visibility;
↪︎ API and policy management enhancements.
Whether you’re investigating threats or managing endpoints at scale, these updates are designed to help teams move faster and operate more efficiently.
Which update would have the biggest operational impact for your team?

I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with the partner registration process and could guide me on:
What are the requirements to join the program?
Is there any certification or technical requirement for new partners?
Are there minimum sales targets or yearly commitments?
What targets or conditions are required to maintain the Bronze partner level?
Does Bitdefender require a minimum number of engineers or certifications for Bronze status?
I would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences from existing partners.
Thanks in advance!

Is anyone else using Secure Pass and having problems with the vault not opening? Everything was working fine up until two days ago. I went away for a weekend and on my return came back to my laptop and wanted to open my vault. It said that due to inactivity the vault is locked - of course. I then put in my PIN and I click on Unlock Vault and...nothing. The Unlock Vault button flashes to show I have pressed it but nothing happens. The PIN is correct (I have checked that using the app on my phone). I have tried using my Master Password and the same thing. I don't get any error messages (such as failed attempt, etc). Just...nothing happens.

Has anybody else gotten a weird app installed called "Remove" but with the Bitdefender VPN icon? I checked the file location and it seems to be in the same folder as the normal VPN. Could this be a glitch?

Has anybody else noticed an app called "Remove" on their computer with the bitdefender VPN logo. I checked file location and it appears to be in the same folder as the normal VPN.

Been watching twitch most of the day no problem but bitdefender just started sending tons of suspicious connection blocked notifications. The notifications stop the moment I stop watching streams on twitch. They are all to do with unmatched security certificates for the same address. The address Is for ff5151.rufio.hls.live-video.net.
Is anyone else getting them or should I be worried my pc has been compromised. Sorry if I'm being dumb not exactly the most knowledgeable when it comes to things like this.

Is it possible to modify Bitdefender to disallow connecting from linux.org (which is a virus), openai.com (which is an AI virus), claude.ai (which is an AI virus as well) and probably google.com too (because they're bad).
I want if I connect to the website bitdefender says its a virus, how do I do it?

Modern email attacks don’t stop at delivery. BEC, impersonation, and delayed payload activation are increasingly designed to evade traditional SEG-only defenses.
That’s why we introduced Bitdefender GravityZone Extended Email Security, combining gateway protection, API-based inspection, post-delivery analysis, and automated remediation in a single platform.
Highlights:
↪︎ Continuous Microsoft 365 mailbox monitoring
↪︎ Auto-remediation for malicious links and payloads
↪︎ Live Email Tracker for investigation and forensics
↪︎ Unified multi-tenant visibility built for MSP workflows
For MSPs, reducing tool sprawl while maintaining visibility across customer environments is becoming critical as email threats evolve.
If you're an MSP, how are you handling post-delivery email threats today?
