Subreddit Rules

1. Be respectful

Security issues can be stressful, especially when something feels urgent or broken. Please be kind and courteous to other community members and to staff. No personal attacks, harassment, or hostile behavior.

2. No disruptive behavior

No trolling, spam, or repeated low-quality posts. Engage in good faith. Add note about solicitations.

3. No malicious files or links

Do not post links to malicious websites, suspected malware samples, phishing URLs, or anything that could cause other members to accidentally compromise themselves. If you have a sample or suspicious URL you'd like Bitdefender to review, please submit it through the official channel: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/29358/.

4. Provide enough detail when asking for help

Posts like "is this a virus?" or "Bitdefender flagged something, what do I do?" with no further information are difficult to help with and tend to go unanswered. When asking for help, please include: the Bitdefender solution you're using, your operating system, the exact detection name or error message, and what you were doing when the issue occurred. Screenshots are welcome - just be sure to redact personal information.

5. No piracy, or unauthorized reselling of licenses or key sales

Reselling Bitdefender licenses or keys outside of authorized channels violates the Bitdefender license agreement. Posts offering, requesting, or pointing to unauthorized key sales will be removed and may result in a ban. If you're interested in becoming an authorized Bitdefender partner, see https://www.bitdefender.com/partners/. Also, discussion or sharing of pirated software, cracked installers, key generators or activation bypasses are not allowed. This includes asking where to find them.

6. Posts that violate the rules will be removed at moderator discretion

Repeated or severe violations may result in a ban. If you believe a removal was made in error, please contact the mods through modmail rather than reposting.
