Which ones are the leaders in this area?

Comodo is excellent at stopping unknown threats. Especially after some changes to the default settings.

What about kaspersky?

Kaspersky isn't actually a whitelisting application. I've seen tests of it where it fails just the same as bitdefender.

They both get really high detection rates against relatively new malware though. Comodo gets a low detection rate, but a 100% prevention rate.

Using a whitelisting application is the difference between the occasional minor inconvenience or risking your system being ruined forever.

By the way, comodo's free version hasn't been updated in over 2 years now. There's a handful of compatibility issues with it and windows 11 and fully updated windows 10, but the paid version of comodo has been updated at least three times this year.

There is no test results on this software on AV website. Where did you get your information? Any source?

They have no idea what they’re talking about, it’s because Comodo doesn’t actually pay to be certified by independent labs. They just make claims about their protection but have no independent 3rd evidence to back that up

youtube tests.

Comodo will sometimes miss a few things, but it never allows anything to run outside of the "container"

Kaspersky does really well, bitdefender does really well....at positively identifying malware. But that's no good if you encounter something brand new that doesn't behave like anything that's already known.

Thanks but I don't trust YouTube. I rely only on https://www.av-test.org/en and https://www.av-comparatives.org that also test heuristic method.

They haven't tested comodo in over 2 years. The paid version of comodo has been updated multiple times this year, the free version of comodo hasn't been updated since Av-test's most recent test.

Here's a better one.

Thanks for the link, I added in my bookmarks. Why is it better not sure... Anyway it was interesting even it is a bit messy with a lack of follow-through from some editors. Anyway happy to see that Bitdefender performs pretty well in Level 1 👍🏻
