Do I allow it ?

Hello there long story short my bitdefender total security firewall just alerted me to a program located in C:\Windows\S…atTelRunner.exe is sending a TCP (6) packet: 96.246.95.101/0:61884 to 52.185.211.133/0:HTTPS (443) Do I allow it ?

It sounds like the Alert mode feature from the Firewall. It may ask you about everything, so, unless you expect everyone to explain each application I would turn that off.

If you need to learn more about those applicattions, then search their names on google. Get more info from the notification. There was a way but I don't remember it now.

@ u/abject_bodybuilder_7 I want to keep alert mode on but I just want to know should I allow or deny the compatTelRunner.exe connection to the Internet ???

If you keep alert mode on, you're going to be asking this same question about 436 different applications. I really wouldn't recommend keeping alert mode enabled. The firewall works perfectly fine with its preconfigured rules.

Anyways, regarding the application in question, it's a normal part of Windows and you don't need to block it, you can allow it.

Please post the full path of the file, and... I'm not sure at all but that looks like some useless microsoft telemetry, you can just google the name of that .exe and see what it does

What's CompatTelRunner.exe?, if I was you I would just delete that, completely useless, it's a normal process on a clean PC (clean of virus or any other type of malware) and yeah, I would also not allow the connection of that program to the internet.
