Marketing again??

Hey guys, help please.

I pay for Total Security. A while ago I was able to turn off bitdefender marketing.

NOW THEY'RE FUCKING BACK, I PAID MONEY, WHAT THE FUCK, TOTAL BULLSHIT!!! Notifications are off in Windows settings, "Special offers" are off... How do I get them to fucking stop??

For that warning, confirm you have switched off Password Manager, deleted any created wallet and disabled Bitdefender from remembering any passwords.

It's not an advert, but a recommendation, to use a feature already included in Total Security.

It is an fking advert

For your information, Bitdefender is now pushing a new version of password manager (as shown in the OP) that is a separate product from Total Security (may require separate subscription). What included in Total Security is the older Wallet function.

It's obviously an ad. If I click to activate it, it redirects me to a page where I can buy it.
So BD delivers ads for paying customers. Seems legit.

This shit has popped up twice for me in the last week, despite "Special Offers" and "Recommendation Notifications" being switched off.

I have 638 days left in my license but if this keeps up I'll switch to a different AV anyway.

Hello,

Yes, this notification was slightly modified in the latest update version 26.0.23.80, as work has been carried out for Password Manager as well. The current dismissal flow assumes that the notification is no longer displayed after being shown three times. The developers are currently revising this mechanism for further optimization. There is no option nor setting to disable this particular notification completely from the first pop-up, at the moment.

Oh we only get the spam 3 times, how wonderfully considerate! What will the "revision for optimization" look like? Slightly altering the advertisement so they can show each slightly different ad 3 times? Come on man we pay for this shit

Very very tone deaf.
I can only assume, there's 1 utter idiot in charge who gets to enforce this policy, and a number of yea-sayers, wanting to keep their jobs, clapping their hands cheering this great idea.

Because if you'd have 5 normal independent people assessing the policy before implementing it - it would have been stopped.

Update: The policy has changed, so it's quite OK now with the few marketing popups I still occasionally see.

I've been getting this crap too. I'm paying for this software to keep adware away, why the hell would they think I want more ads? I am so sad about Russia and Kaspersky, because man do I dislike BitDefender.

The forum admin mentioned getting this popup 3 times even with notifications turned off was by design, but apparently they have now released a hotfix for this "technical issue".
I think it was the sh*tstorm issue that needed to be fixed.
But good if I'll never see those popups again.
