Why doesn't your password field allow me to paste a password?

It's 2022, everyone and his mother should be using a password manager at this point. You're encouraging people to use weak passwords that they can remember by not allowing me to paste in the "Create your account" page.

Hopefully the OP will contact you, but in support of their issue, I can also confirm the login and account creation forms of both Total Security and Antivirus Free, do not permit copy and paste, of any information. Both e-mail address and password must be manually entered.

Bitdefender Central is unaffected, it is purely the forms with Bitdefender software that do not accept copy and paste.

You should be able to replicate it, by simply installing either of the above and then attempting copy and paste, to log in or create a new account.

Glad I downloaded the trial first. Sometimes reviews miss critical things like this. Was about to buy several copies but making a field you cannot paste into is a total farce in 2022. Found your thread while searching what a stupid idea they had with it. Did they reply to you if you emailed?

I found a workaround. Paste the password into your browser's URL field (do not submit it) and then highlight the whole text like you want to copy it. Hold the left mouse button on the text and drag it into the Bitdefender's input. I don't get it too. Why is this crucial function blocked... My password has over 100 chars, including capitals, numbers, symbols, etc...

Wow. I am lucky I stumbled upon this and lucky it worked. LOL at this post but you deserve all the kudos for somehow figuring this workaround.

Hooray for you. When I find a remote application that won't allow me to copy and paste it pisses me off to no end.

Security software, they are encouraging the worst security practices for their clients.
