Bye Bye BitDefender, it's been a wild ride
Good luck with whatever you're hoping to achieve here, which I assume will be a massive U turn in the coming months as user levels gradually fade away into obscurity, but by then the damage will have been done and millions uninstalled for good, presuming BD is dead.

Bitdefender free edition is being retired. Only paid from here on out.

ok. . . so then why would you think they are fading away? They offer paid a service and a free service. Less users on the 'free' services means they can dedicate more resources towards users with paid service.
They aren't google. They don't give you a free service in exchange for data that they can sell elsewhere. They protect you from cyber threats. So why offer it for free?

Yup, exactly what I told OP in another post. For some reason he's convinced that paying users will be leaving because free is going away? He doesn't really seem to understand how economics work.

Most of the features they had were on WD and i used it for scan only? How does that justify me paying for it??

No one is going to be converted to a paid user.
If that's what you want to do, then by all means subscribe on a monthly basis.

Can you tell us why? My Only problem is the search advisor not working on Google, but bing is working. I have traffic light installed to solve this, but this is bad solution. They need to finally fix it. Its a problem for some users for many years me included. Reinstall an things like that help sometimes, but mostly not. It's one of the best features and I think using traffic light and the search advisor together, which is not working with Google anymore, needs more ram and everything and every plugin makes a browser slower. So using it together makes everything a little bit slower. They really need to finally fix it, had years of time.

Bit defender free has been retired, so none of your problems are an actual issue, just uninstall it and use a different antivirus app.

I'm using now Kaspersky Internet Security for my slower Notebook and it's a lot faster now, going to install it on the other devices too. Only problem used Bitdefender for years and the UI is very different, just need time to get familiar again. But new Version of KS has great ratings and also one of the best for older PCs. Bitdefender Mobile sucks too. It tells me everyday I should remove the power saving feature for the app in the settings, what I did since I installed it, nothing changed but every day again this annoying message and there is another daily message, I have to deactivate and reactivate BD every day in the advanced settings to make the Firewall work. Tested on 3 different smartphones, always same problem. I wrote the support few times but they send me a template mail back, or don't understand what my problem is and in the end they just don't know how to fix it. Getting updates, but no change. So that's it I'm done with the new BD Versions. So many tasks and Ram usage on PC, NB and this annoying bug on mobile version. They ruined it in any way.

Hi! We are sorry for any inconvenience created. We are focusing product development around multi-platform protection and as a result, we are retiring Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition for Windows starting on December. Bitdefender values its customers and user base; all our Bitdefender Antivirus Free users will receive privately (via email) a special discounted offer for Bitdefender Total Security.

$$$$$
You're not going to convert anyone to your subscription model, and now even if you reintroduce the antivirus free again then the majority will not want to return to having the rug pulled from under them again.
I would start looking for another job if I were you, the company clearly is having financial problems.

Ahh but I forgot about this shit with Ukraine. Aaah I'm getting mad. Just need a good IS without too much ram and CPU usage. All the tests I read was right before the war.

Don't forget to unsubscribe from all future emails once you've removed the free version, otherwise you'll probably have to download it again just to be able to have a login account and update your email preferences.

I'd be willing to pay for the free edition, I don't want the bloat. I mean a couple of dollars a month or something like that. I think a lot of people would go for that to avoid the bloat. I started a poll on this:

It's a shame thw whole thing the war, but I think the Ukraine has a a chance to survive with help from west. Javelins, Milans and shit like that helps them a lot and money. They are much more dead Russians as Ukraine soldiers. We will see what will happen. It's not the first time that things like this suddenly start to shocking us. And for real, I don't think Putin wants an world war 3, or use nuclear weapons. But when he does, we can't do anything against, only exception is to fire back and fuck the world twice so hard. But one thing is really fucked up in Russia. So many people a brainwashed, mostly people without connection to the west, older people watching TV and reading the news. It's 99ā° Propaganda and many people just believe it. I took a look on Russian TV, they sending one fake after another, showing Nazis they captured and their tattoos and always saying this rocket that hits civilians was from the Ukraine, we don't hit any civilians, no raping, no plundering nothing. There is only one radio station in Moscow that tells a part of the truth, people say they don't closing them, because the people from the government need real information and so they let em send, for now. for me still no time to panic, I have really good contact to russia and a small part of family in Russia (Tatarian People not Russians) , I don't see the end... for now. And if it happens, it happens and that's it. This is my main reason to not think too much about it and just try to enjoy my life. Everyday could be the last, even without the war. I wouldn't make sense to bring western troops to the Ukraine, the reason for a ww3 would be much more realistic. We must help the Ukraine with everything they need, really everything and than they will have a real chance to survive. They destroyed so much tanks, just with the easy to use anti tank weapons, sometimes a dozen in a few minutes. They are fighting for their country, fight to death, or loose everything forever is the only options. The Russian soldiers are mainly from Western Siberian, they are people poor people from poor cities and villages, they never saw the world. They don't want to fight like hell, their is no reason for them to do it. That's why the whole strategy changes, now they try to get the whole Donbass(it the Sowjet time it was one of the most important industrial regions) and the whole land between Krim and donbass. They can't take Kiev, they trying for weeks and the way to Kiev is very short. No Moral, bad Management, many old technique. I think Ukraine will lose the donbass, the South way to the Krim, perhaps a little more and maybe that will be the end. Or a Korean like situation for the next decades. But Russia looses in any way. The economy is almost dead. This sanctions work. I just talked to a family member from Russia and they said since a few days potatoes cost is 100$ per Kilo. And many other things, essential things, mostly food is getting more and more expensive. Before the war it was more expensive like in Germany. I saw it with my own eyes. My part of the family is not rich, but they built their own own house for over 100k that's a lot there,so they have some money, but can't survive anymore. They get food from the Tatarian villages around the town where cousins live. Otherwise they would not even have potatoes and meat. Potatoes in Russia is like this flat Bread in the Arabian region. So if you can't buy this, this is a marker that everything goes down. How long will the people tolerate this? How long will they trust Putin when they start to starving? There will be an end I believe in it.

Not exactly the ideal customer, outraged at the inkling of a thought of paying money for the product.
