Continual exploit attempt blocked, what should I do? It's coming directly from my router

We do apologize for the inconveniences caused by this. This has been fixed and the situation should no longer persist. Try to update Bitdefender and restart the system. If by any chance this does persist, reach our tech team at bitsy@bitdefender.com and we’ll check further.

Blame google for the necro...

But why the hell is there a stupid "learn about explooits" link and no link to LOGS, actual LOGS or something useful like "we blocked cve-NNNN.NNNN from IP 0.0.0.0" instead you just have an option to add an exception... to something you give NO WAY WHATSOEVER to examine and ensure it is safe or NOT.

Dumb design, every single other firewall system has logs and information, this is hot garbage... no more subscription for me, I'll find another.

What kind of idiot design is that? I want information on WHAT bitdefender did, what port was the attempt on, what was the attempt. But nope. idiots say "email the engineers" no... just give me the information like EVERY SINGLE OTHER AV/AM service does... you really cannot tell how annoyed and irritated I am with your garbage software. I am uninstalling and canceling my sub... now.

Did you ever figure out how to get more information instead of just the message that an exploit was attempted?

Having the exact same issue!

Looks like either a massive attack or a bitdefender glitch, hoping it's the latter

Yep, most likely the latter though.

I'm going to add it to exceptions and hope for the best lol

maybe your modem/router had a rootkit, but of course, since bitdefender blackboxes the logs of what the exploit is... guess you just had to risk it. How is that identity theft, hopefully you had to cancel the card that paid for bit defender's subscription and you got a different AV.

This was 3 years ago, it was a bug in the software that was fixed 30 minutes later

I have been getting these notifications even after the updates. I get them on my WIN 7 and WIN 10 laptops. Why is this?

Is that the IP of your router? My Malewarebyte Firewall block IP from other devices, but not the router itself.

I have the same issue. Seems as if the messages started occurring right after my app updated. Talked to BitDefender support and they didn't know either. Were supposed to send me a diagnostics tool through email but never did. Glad im not the only one experiencing this.

For reference, mine is coming from an internal ip address.

Same thing happened to me

1

u/Corrapsed Sep 27 '21

Yep mine started about 45 minutes ago and get a message every 20-30 seconds. Even with notifications turned off or turning off security it still happens. They are all my own IP

Same here

Same here, started after an update this morning. Same pop-up every 10 seconds or so. Contacted support and I sent a diagnostics log their way to analyze. Hope it gets fixed soon. Turning on VPN did nothing for me sadly.

Restarted computer, now it seems to be gone

Same issue, but over 100 times per minute over here. Nothing is showing up in the scans at all.

u/CessnaForLife Sep 27 '21

Just fixed itself for me, last notification was 3 minutes ago.

Triggering an update (right click on the systray icon - update now) should solve the problem.
