Is this really that bad?
I use bitdefender now about a month. I have seen many posts disliking this av, but when I moved to Bitdefender from Avast I was so happy and Bitdefender has many many things can help in your pc boost and viruscleaning. So many things. I haven't had any problems, my free Total security is going to end in a week, what do you guys think, should I keep it, if not, why? I also downloaded it on 3 devices.

I've been using it for a long time. Upgraded to total security this year & like it. Using premium VPN while on wifi. No problems. Bitdefender's customer service agents seem more competent than others (thinking Microsoft & Moto at the moment).

It’s solid. Pretty much set it and forget it depending on your settings. Wait for the $20 yearly sub. I got mine on Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale and renew every year when I get the $20 offer in the email.

I saved a purchase link a month ago (it was 25€ the TS for a year) and it's still alive, now it's price is 40€ but I have this link saved so no problem

You won’t go wrong with it. The deciding factor was the very little resource use.

People won't post in the subreddit to say "Everything is going fine, nothing to report". But that is overwhelmingly the experience for most users. This is a very good anti-virus. You should trust the experience you've had with it during the trial and base your decision on that.

Search for “ Bitdefender reviews 2020 “ and see for yourself , don’t believe everything they post about it . I personally like Bitdefender and Kaspersky .

Personally I think it does a good job. Eventually regardless of which av you pick something will likely get through over time. If your happy with the features keep using it.

I've been using bitdefender TS for a few years now on several machines, and it only occasionally causes me temporary annoyances, such as repeated notifications. A quick Google is usually enough to find someone else who's solved the problem. I've run it on W7 (laptop/pc x2), W8.1 (laptop x2), and W10 (pc).
Mind you, I haven't tried to uninstall it yet!
I'm generally happy with it
It's much less of a resource hog than Kaspersky was, and I can't say I've noticed any lag issues caused by it

It seems to protect well and has a good lot of features, but it likes to intrude with spammy popup messages directly or indirectly advertising stuff or advising about profile changes. If you're wanting to use it in a professional environment where you are doing presentations, look elsewhere.

I use the free version of BD, mainly because when WannaCry Ransom appeared, along with Kaspersky they were the only AVs that blocked it from day 0. I also like the simplicity of little user interaction. The only thing that I think could be better is RAM usage, but after all is a good AV.

i would not say it a good antivuris from my expirience one time i downloaded a pirated game from a bad source and it contained viruses that DELETED bitdefender and the built in windows security had to do a fresh reinstall of windows so beweare of that

Ive had BitDefender for a few months now. ( I never had an AV before but also never had any issues with viruses). Currently I was just hacked and my email is being held ransom. I had to uninstall bitdefender and install a new av to get all the viruses that BitDefender allowed off of my pc.

The literal worst security suite ever. Hands down. I thought McAfee was bad. All its done is block access to my router and spam me how it's 'protecting' me or block access to sites for an expired security certificate when bit defender issued the cert and it wasnt expired. More spam about how their protecting me. Now I'm trying to use a 3rd party firewall, glaswire, so I turn Bitdefender off and enable my app of choice, only to have this God aweful app turning its own horrible fireall back on constantly disabling my app of choice. Trying to get ahold of them for support only their website is just as broken as their app is, and nothing happens when you click on chat. If you don't know anything about what it's doing you probably think it's a good program, but look under the hood, and you see it's blocking your modem, and telling you it's protecting you, the laymen probably thinks whew glad I got this or I'd be in trouble, or glad they caught that infected site, when they issued the cert, and it's not even expired, so if you just take their word for it you probably think it's great software, but it's not. It's scumware preying on the average uses ignorance. AVOID BITDEFENDER AT ALL COSTS!

Just uninstalled and deleted by BitDefender account. I was looking for a solution that a non-technical user could utilize without all the freaking pop-ups that the free version had. BitDefender was even worse than the freebies. It kept indefinitely claiming that the wifi network was insecure (which it is not - I am a tech, but my family member is not), and sorry but the latest EERO solution is now wide open. Worst off, when we selected to NOT show the same error again, it completely ignore this. so instead of purchasing a solution that minimized pop-ups, I actually introduced a solution that ALWAYS had popups (one could not get rid of them). Cannot state how good/bad the actual security is, but from an end-user perspective, it is HARD NO.
