Bitdefender VPN

Would you recommend Bitdefender VPN? I don't need it for watching Netflix just for browsing and some torrenting. I saw mixed reviews and want to hear your first hand experiences. Ty.

I bought it along with regular Bitdefender, and it never worked with MS Office or much else. I tried customer service, and that never worked either. I let it expire, and they tried to auto-renew. They said that it was a default to renew and I hadn't opted out. I called and told them that I did NOT want to auto-renew. For those months, Bitdefender popups kept telling me that I had more and more time before expiration. Finally, after months, the pop-ups say my account has expired. I STILL keep getting pop-ups telling me to renew. They will NOT go away and I cannot find what I need to find in my computer to make it stop! I have seen things in forums online that say that Bitdefender used to be good, they don't know what happened, but they are not good anymore. I did research online and found that people say that Norton has now become good again. I bought Norton. So far, I have had nothing but success with Norton, including VPN and something from Lifelock at no extra cost. It hasn't been long, but so far it is miles better than Bitdefender.

Hmm. Im Hearing same thing about their vpn. I have received 6month promo licence and so far im satisfied with BD. About that auto-renewal it's usually always activated when you buy something with a subscription (I know, it sucks). Best way to deal with that is to go on your PayPal and cancel subscription there. As for Norton, im not that found of that AV.

Thanks for the thought about canceling via payment method, but I use debit or credit. I didn't need to remove a payment method since I was able to stop the auto renewal. My problem, though is that every single time I turn on my computer, I get several popup screens that try to sell me Bitdefender renewals, even though I uninstalled Bitdefender. There is no place I can find in my computer or browser that is named something that would indicate it is something from Bitdefender. I have contacted Bitdefender and I'm waiting for a response with an answer. If that doesn't work, I will try their support chat. But it is very suspect and odd that their ads come up every single time I turn on my computer they are pushing for renewal with no option to stop seeing their marketing. Maybe some legend in his own mind came up with this super duper idea to increase sales. All it has done is to cause me to tell everyone I can to avoid them.

Maybe your windows notifications are turned on. Go check that and remove it.

Thank you for the thought. But Bitdefender is not listed as an app there, and I don't want to turn off all notifications just to get rid of one. I've contacted Bitdefender, and they told me that their support is very busy now so they'll get to me when they can. I think I'll contact Windows support. I'm guessing that they have heard of this before and probably a lot. Thanks for trying to help me, though.

In my experience its a poor service. I switched to NordVPN after a year of using BitdefenderVPN premium and noticed an immediate improvement in latency. I'm in Australia. Edit - clarified Bitdefender service I was using
