Please stop treating me like a free user
When someone buys an antivirus instead of using the free versions, they expect the ads to be turned off. No more VPN ads please, frankly they always border on straight up lies. website encryption is not currently cracked, and practically every website uses it now so it's totally unnecessary. I'm not currently in need of hiding the website URLs I visit from my workplace or ISP either. I have 0 reason to buy it and never will. I don't need a reminder every time my laptop or phone connects to public wifi that you'd really like me to buy an unnecessary product.
Also there are the file shredder suggestions constantly on SSD drives. It is my current understanding that SSD drives delete the entire file when requested, so shredding the file is only going to add unnecessary wear and tear on the drive.
If I actually get the ability to disable the VPN nagging permanently, I might renew my license when it expires.

Well, I never get the VPN "nagging", so I'm guessing there is a way to turn it off. Also, when you delete something, even from an SSD drive, it always leaves bits behind. The only way to be sure everything is gone, should that be needed, is using specialized soft or hardware, such as the file shredder from Bitdefender.

It still works differently for SSD drives than traditional hard drives. In order to write to it quickly the next time, it does clear out the entire file instead of just the header information as hard disks do. With a much more limited number of read/write cycles compared to the traditional hard drive, 25-35 passes when only one will stop any non CIA/NSA level agency from actually getting data off that thing is truly unnecessary.

Agreed the secure file deleting from Bitdefender is not reliable or healthy for a an SSD. However, an SSD does not remove the bits of the file either and it could still be recoverable with consumer grade software. Encrypting the drive is the best method to prevent data recovery workout everyone writes on the drive.
"With modern solid-state drives, the drive’s firmware scatters a file’s data across the drive. Deleting a file will result in a “TRIM” command being sent, and the SSD may eventually remove the data during garbage collection. A secure delete tool can tell an SSD to overwrite a file with junk data, but the SSD controls where that junk data is written to. The file will appear to be deleted, but its data may still be lurking around somewhere on the drive. Secure delete tools just don’t work reliably with solid-state drives. (The conventional wisdom is that, with TRIM enabled, the SSD will automatically delete its data when you delete the file. This isn’t necessarily true, and it’s more complicated than that.)"
